Yeah we just had the official email.

We were only there in May & it was all set to move to the new location but I did find it a little strange that they had no photographs or information available on the new place.

I hope this doesn't mean that the new place is never going to open ?

Just found out it's closing. We were going in October. We no longer have accommodation and flights have been booked and paid. What a let down as I gather there are no other clubs there.

Our new year won't quite be the same! Flights already booked.

we are sure we won't be the only ones out there at that time and in the same boat so no doubt nearer the time we will look for at least a naturist friendly hotel or area to base ourselves.

On a different note, we were at spice two weeks ago, every member of staff toed the party line that they didn't know what was happening but it was clear nothing was happening at the new place in terms of development so this news,as annoying and disappointing as it is doesn't really come as a surprise. Piss poor client care though!

This was part of the appeal though hence so many gutted customers posting on many threads in the forums.

Exclusive couples only and itch it being the only club on the island you knew where all the other likeminded people would be and didn't have to travel round looking for the best place that night.

Had so many laughs there and met some good friends.

Glad we got La Mirage booked for July as i suspect The ex spice customer that can will be changing there flights to GC.

So hope a new resort with the atmosphere which Spice captured emerges in the future.

Couple of adults only hotels in playa blanch, within walking distance of naturist beaches. No adult sexy fun but st least no bloody kids.....we have bookedi at the h10 sentino white rooms in October seeing we had flights booked and no chance of a refund.....

Hi, If like us you were booked to go to Spice in October between the 17th and 24th and now find yourself with a dilemma . Change your flights and pay more money? And where to go? La Mirage and Venus are all booked up.

Then consider the adult only H10 Sentino White Sands and still go to Lanzerote.

This is where we are going. It's an all inclusive, adult only 4star highly rated resort. So maybe together we can make a swingers holiday out of a spicy mess.

Message us and let us know if your taking the plunge happy swinging.

We are booked in to spice for new year and now looking for an alternative venue. We surely aren't on our own. Maybe a 'takeover' of one of the naturist friendly hotels is on the cards. Suggestions welcome. We are over between 28/12-03/01. We WILL find some fun!!

it has been a shock to me and the tema that Spice is closing on the 12th of June….I can’t believe how fast that my inbox has been over loaded with emails of love and best wishes. So I thank you all for your kind words xxx.

I won’t lie when I say it’s a sad time but at least I can say me and the team can hold our heads high and know that we help create one of the best Adult playgrounds in the world.

I would first like to say it has been a true honour to be a part of Europe’s first All-inclusive lifestyle resort. I think I can say on behalf of everyone when I say the place has a magic about it.

Everyday consisted of the perfect cycle of perfect couples coming and going….Partying daily with the required time to chill and be alone.

Couples from all over the world would take up to 5 planes to come and enjoy the Spice lifestyle. Day after Day for the past 6 Years I have met and spoke to the majority of couples that came through our doors. Whether it be to come with the intention to have a great time and party and play as much as possible or the fresh newbies trying something daring and taking the leap out of the vanilla world and into our open minded society.

I guess I can say I have taken a lot of vanilla virgins in my time…whether it’s helping guide them through their first days or sacrificing them on a Friday evening lol.

But what I will miss is the ambience during the day where you will find a mix of naked bodies of all ages’ sizes and nationalities lounging around the pool, if they are not soaking up the sun they are around interacting, laughing, playing, sucking and you know the rest.

Now I would like to thank the whole team for all their help and support over the years whether work or personal related. We have become like family and I hope remain like family forever. It has been a pleasure to work alongside all of you….and I wish everyone good luck in the nearby future. It’s a fact that many of you will remember such characters as Monica, Fran, Cristina, Kelly, Samuel, PATRICIO, Angel, Lydia and many more.

It’s right that they should all get the recognition they deserve for delivering a great service over the years so I salute you all.

I started out as the only entertainer around a pool with 4 couples and then grew into a team with a full house….my fantastic team consisted of Monse, CoCo, Sophia, DJ Matt, and Angel, Yurena and Mistress bailey and of Corse my fly in wife Keri graham the diamante doll. Thank you all for being a GREAT TEAM xxx Love you all

So on that note it’s good to add that Spice has served so many of us for the past 6 years and im sure it will stay in our hearts for many more years to come. So let us remember all the good times and smile from time to time. Let us remember spice as a historical moment in the lifestyle world.

Thanks for your reply on here James, sorry to hear you and the rest of the crew also had no idea of the closure, not nice when people lose their jobs. We also feel so sorry that have pumped their hard earned money into there holidays for Spice to find out they could have lost everything. People can't say this has just come out of the blue 10 days before it closes. Spice have still been taking peoples hard earned money up to just a week ago!

Yes it is the end of era at Spice and we have all had some great adventures and fun along the way.

All good things have to come to an end but all new adventures have to start somewhere and maybe that somewhere is now ??

James is a FAB host and a great asset to any reasort and I'm sincerely hope we soon find out where the next adventure is going to take us all xx

Surprised it lasted as long as it did. I wondered when the "investment offer" for a new Spice was circulated if it was because the original background investor had lost patience.

Spice was modelled on Desire in Mexico and although the concept was reasonable the fact is that Europeans already have far more choice for Swinging holidays than N Americans. Desire in Cancun is so popular because there is nowhere else quite like it anywhere on that side of the pond. Here in Europe there are no end of small boutique swingers destinations plus cap d'agde and Gran canaria where rooms at La Mirage cost around €500 a week!

It is always sad to lose a club or a resort or indeed any facility that provides more choice for our lifestyle but this one maybe should have modified its offering.

Cannot agree more it was never the 5star it Claimed.all this 3 night minimum and no walk ins they should have had outsiders come in on 1 or 2 nights if they had not been greedy on rates and had a higher footfall.we had been 8 times and never saw a real investment for the amount they charged. Feel sorry for all those who have lost out on holidays and investment.

In our opinion, Lanzarote is just not a Swingers destination at all. Yes there are nude beaches, but there are nude beaches everywhere in Spain.

Just had another email shot from Spice, see below.

We stopped going around 18 months ago following a stay that we felt was far from 5*. This was our 7th visit within 3 years. After each visit we were promised improvements around the whole resort, this never seemed to happen especially in the bathrooms where money badly needed to be spent. Housekeeping standards were far from acceptable and our bathroom was almost non functional,it was reported however it took almost 2 days to get sorted. We complained at the time and also did a follow up email summarizing our issues on our return. With no reply to our email it was followed up by a letter 4 weeks later direct to Spice which was replied by email with an excuse someone was off sick. With all the admin staff this seemed an easy excuse.

We then had another booking pending but due to work commitments need to move the booking by 36 hours. We were going to be charged 50 euros and no negotiation. At the time they were far from full and could really do with the trade. We have not been back since as we said due to their lack of customer service and total greed to keep our deposit. We are not surprised that at their closure. We had a a good time however feel that their greed was their down fall . What a shame the concept was good but failed to deliver.

We did have a good time however just wanted view our lasting impressions not wanting critical reply's as everyone is able to make their own judgement on their own experiences, hence the reason we moved on new places and never reported onto Trip Adviser or other social media until now. They seemed more interested in entertaining the big corporate organisations ie Spice Take Overs that pay big money for bulk bookings rather than us sexy couples who paid good money in-between.

Thank you for all your wonderful messages expressing your sadness at the fact that, for now, you cannot enjoy your Spice lifestyle experience here with us in Lanzarote. A surprising number of you are arranging last minute flights to join us during our final week for one last dip in the Jacuzzi.

Many of you have sent cries for help .... 'WHERE SHOULD I GO NOW?!'

We’ve also received some amazing offers from partners offering locations and destinations to keep the Spice flame burning which Dean and I are obviously keen to do.

You can be sure of seeing lots of Spicy people there as these offers are available in conjunction with each other so for those most affected, your credit can be transferred and you will receive one free night, subject to a minimum of 7 nights and availability.

We were booked in for October ourselves. It's a shame as we were really looking forward to going back.

That said, not refunding customers is a huge misstep.

I'm presuming that at some stage Tracy & Dean will get back into this business in some capacity. And the customers they will be looking to attract are the ones they screwed over. Once bitten and all that.

Luckily we had only paid our deposit. I have huge sympathy for any of you guys that had paid in full. Hopefully your travel insurance covers it (most basic policies don't)

Awe James, it's lovely to hear from you. Martin and I will truly miss you.

We had planned our third trip to Spice for July 4th, we paid our deposit last year before we left, we booked our flights and then the email came that the opening was pushed back to 27 July, After contacting Spice, we were assured the funds for the non refundable tickets would be applied to a new date, so 2 weeks before the fateful closing email, we rebooked to come 27 July and paid for 2 more non refundable flights. Now we are out approx 3000 Euros. I cant believe they let us re book our flights without some sort of indication that New Spice would never open. We feel so violated.

We have been offered our "credit: to be used at Hedo in Jamaica but quite frankly I am cynical that that will work out.

I was one of the investors approached. The prospectus was woefully inadequate as was the business plan, and it was clear to me it wouldn't work out.

I think a mainland Spain resort would have a much better chance.
