Best area hotels apartments to stay in gran canaria? ??

Hoping to go to gran canaria 23rd May. But still can't decide on where to stay. I want to be close to a beach and not to far from action. . Walking distance? ?? What area should I stay in please?

Ifa catarina ticks both your boxes and has a huge nudist terrace on the roof with double sunbeds and showers toilets ect.

IFA Caterina is a very good hotel but we would recommend half board or B &B if those options are available. All Inclusive is convenient but restrictive.......and the wristbands are bloody annoying too
