Noted they have a nude sunbathing area also!! Bonus!! x

stayed there last sept. was a total tip. roof area full of gays. we hated it. poorest hotel in gc in our opinion. this is only our opinion mind.

Stayed there twice. Yes there are gay couples obvious choice of hotel as close to yumbo. It's not a dive it's clean and staff nice. Pool bar food ok but would not recommend breakfast try Kims Bar 5 min walk.

its far from clean going by the room we got. couch and beds where stinking. holes in walls,front door bashed in,shower cubicle rusty and shower watervtrickled out. beds rock hard.stains on sheets,something brown on the toilet wall. didnt want to investigate that lol. toilet window broken, room needed a paint and thats just for starters. not got a nice thing to say about this dive. steer clear of room 220 . But, we had a great time outside the hotel. la mirage booked in june then anamar suites in sept.

Are room was nice friends stayed the same time aswell their room was nice aswell.

I allways use trip advisor to check out reviews etc.

I allways book direct not through an agent.

we checked trip advisor too and mostly was good reviews hence why we booked there. it was a package holiday. im of the impression, some rooms will be nice but we certainly werent impressed and will never be back to playa del sol.

Stayed there a year ago, Had no problem with hotel. Did not eat there or use any of the eating facilities. Room was clean and we ate at restaurants next door. Never used the roof top(nude area) but did have a look and it was almost empty every time. the fact that it was a Adults only hotel meant we walked around naked most of the time in the room and even on the balcony and no one bothered us. Might stay there again if I go to GC and want cheap accommodation.

ps, We are not gay couple but had no problem with any of the gay people there, they were all friendly and courteous towards us

We stayed there a few years ago, had no problem with room, pool ect, food was good the only downside was the noise, it's right next to the yumbo and when the clubs bars shut the cleaners started X

Staying there just now.

Upper level even number premier room so entrance is on the Yumbo side but bedroom is on the pool side so the Yumbo noise is almost negligible. Also it is fine to sit out on the room balcony (the sun arrives on ours from about 2 pm).

Pool is fairly busy and of course there are no crying/screaming kids (just screaming adults). The room is clean and has plenty of space, plenty of coat hangers and we both had a good sleep last night on decent single beds. The bathroom is slightly tired looking but is adequate and the shower is powerful.

Telly is a bit iffy and we did report it on arrival, but we didn't come here to watch the news so not really bothered. No kettle, just a filter coffee maker so we may have to rectify that or carry on boiling water in a pan for making tea. The utensil drawer could do with a couple of extra items e.g wooden spoon, spatula.

We have now done 4 star Hotel All inclusive and self catering in PDI and for what we paid, the Playa del Sol is not at all bad and we'd probably come back.

We're on sunroof at playa del sol right now great hotel only thing we have found wrong is the sunbeds on roof are pallets pretty big ones but they don't lie down so have to drag mattress off into floor

We paided for a premium room which gives you Internet and safe and the bedroom is on pool side so no noise from yumbo

I've just got back and could not fault the hotel for what I paid for it. I had a high floor pool room, with free internet and safe. The hotel is not luxury but the room was spotlessly clean. I had a kitchen living area and separate bedroom. Like the the other poster said the tv didn't work, but that never concerned me.

The rooftop area good and while I was there it was mainly mixed couples and singles male and female.. You could stay up there until 8pm at night with sunshine....a couple of nights it got a bit naughty after 7.

I am sure you will enjoy the hotel, I never ate there so can't comment on the food.

Enjoyed our stay there last year going again in August. Great location for eating at the Yumbo taxi to Maspolomas beach €5 short walk to clubs later works for us.
