Evening all. I'm new so please be gentle. Anyway I have a holiday planned for late March / early April which may involve a social wander on my own down to the sand dunes in Maspolomas. Just a bit curious as to whether or not it is possible to meet up for a bit of fun or is it something that tends to happen on impulse and spur of the moment where I may get invited to join in. Any advice / info greatly welcome. Ta

If you decide to wander through the dunes make sure you take plenty of water as it gets extremely hot, I tend to wander along the beach, stop for a drink near kiosk 4 and then wander into the dunes, the real secret is to be respectful at all times and only approach when invited, always be aware that different parts of the dunes will have MF couples MM couples singles or small groups and don't be shocked easily. Just relax and enjoy. I'm going back 11 the to 18th April myself. Best places to meet are the bars and clubs around PDI, Yumbo, Cita and reading the Spain and worldwide forums cafe de Kroeg looks like a great place to start as is Comeback bar etc

Sometimes it's just a question of looking at body language, striking a conversation if you can hear them speaking a language you can converse in. A simple smile or cheery hello works wonders.
