Gran Canaria PDi -- First Timers!

Hi All.

After reading so many amazing reviews on here about Gran Canaria and the fun that can be had at the clubs, we are planning on getting over there for the first time early 2016...

Just wanted a bit of advice on local hotels close to all the action that are highly recommended and offer all inclusive...

In addition, we would love to hear peoples experiences of the different clubs in PDI and which clubs people think would be best for first timers out there..

Any advice would be really apriciated and once we have booked up we will be on here finding out who else is about to show us the Spanish ropes!!

Stay at la mirage it is beautiful and only a€4 taxi ride yo all the clubs and the beach

Here now & visited Eternity (Nilo centre) after a recommendation by some british & norweigan friends, must go Saturday, when all the locals are there, not many single males, mainly couples and the singles didn't bother you at all but, a real good international crowd with absolutely top hosts in the club.

Also went to 2x2 Tues night with our norweigan friends, had a good time & a nice club, more single guys who get very close and follow around (like normal) but they did take a no as no and backed off ok

If you look in Spain forum, I have just bumped up an excellent post on club reviews in Gran Canaria(PDI). Quite a few hotels near cita centre where most clubs are. IFA Caterina is reputedly good, sure other people can advise you on that!!

Thanks everyone for your help, the detailed review was a great help. We have booked into Gold by Marina Hotel for mid Feb, so anyone who is there then give us a shout!

2x2 is only a few yards away from gold.

If we got a taxi we use to ask for gold hotel rather than 2x2 as not to give the game away. Lol

We are in Gold now, excellent hotel all round very clean, very friendly excellent breakfast spread for 10 euros if you block book the week or 12 euro a day, also big supermarket next door and yes 30 yards to 2x2. Also pretty central to Cita yumbo and beach, all 5 min walk at most, so very good choice to finish our club review we went to secrets last which is good busy and has couples only area, which us a good job as single guys were a pain! But still worth a try xx

We stayed in gold by marina earlier this year and found it to be excellent in every way. Just around the corner from 2x2. Cita centre clubs are 5 mins walk and nudist beach in PDI is 15 mins walk. You will need a taxi to Maspolomas nude beach though.

Hi we stopped in Catarina in October ,nice hotel and great location, it wad perfect for us and close to clubs ,nude sunbathing roof, only short distance to dunes ,was so good we have already for next October .

We have just came back from PDI, our recommendations are, Comeback bar for drinks then take your pick of clubs, we visited, Poison-nice bar very friendly place if small, Fun4all - bigger place and has a dancefloor if you want to dance and rooms to play in, Secrets -our favourite, big club lots of play rooms, couples only area (yummy) pool and very well run, Mario and the rest of the staff are just fantastic, make you feel very welcome. we also visited Full Swap a brand new club just opened last week and this is a beautiful club well laid out and will be full every night as soon as people know about it, all these clubs are in the Cita Centre, also spent a lovely afternoon in Cafe de Krong in Gran Chaparral, hope this helps

I arrive on 16th, will be nipping into Gold during my stay, simply because their pool bar food is excellent quality and in my view good value......

Oh and so as you know what to expect...they have a 'pillow menu' in the rooms.... not food related...it's just as it sounds...choose a particular type of pillow, for the duration of your stay lol
