Hey folks ,

So I’ve had a year off from pdi this year and travelled elsewhere but do have an urge to holiday away from Dec 23rd this year to early Jan so hence am looking for a good Xmas and new year vibe abroad somewhere ..

So my question - does Gran Canaria and in particular PDI really have much special going on during the festive period ?

Anyone willing to share previous experience ?

Interest to know more too as we arrive Hogmanay (New Year's Eve) until 10th Jan. And wondered about any celebrations/party nights?

Either lifestyle or vanilla.

We were in PDI 18th - 23rd of December 2024. It was very very quiet. The clubs were practically empty apart from the odd single male.

Keep your money and go in February it's much more lively.

Been twice Christmas and New year in PDI but had a much better time in Benidorm at that time of year and a lot cheaper too.

Thants an interesting option actually , I’ve been to Bene 4 times over the last 5 years and always had a blast ! (I know not has it failings)

Mmm I’m worried it’ll be dead - I mean I’m not simply going for the swinging vibe, that’s just an added extra … but always nice

We were in PDI for NY last year. We’ve also been on other occasions and for us it was a great experience, so much so that we booked for NY this year.

The clubs were busy, Peaches & Cream hosted a NYE event that was sold out. The bars in the Cita were all full and had a great festive atmosphere. We spent time at Kiosk 3 with plenty of Fab people about and Tipsy always had a queue (nothing new there) 🙄

We also met lots of couples that had been out during Christmas and none had a bad word to say. Think there was also a boat trip social on Boxing Day

So that’s our experience, it was just right for us but we’ve never purposely been at the peak times as this would not be for us.

I guess it’s horses for courses and thought we’d share our experience 😉

@Gold 28th Dec - 4th Jan

We had our debut PDI visit last year covering NYE, and had a great time. We made it to Peaches and Cream for NYE which was a lot of fun, a great place to spend New Years.

We're doing Christmas in Gran Can this year, but away from PDI; not really going for sauciness, but we've got the option to grab a car or cab if we fancy it for one evening.
