Just a heads up. We are currently in pdi with a group friends. We have been out this evening for a doubke birthday meal and first stop after was plan B. Well just for fun the birthday boy and girl have been handcuffed together for the evening. We went to Plan B for our first drink following the meal with the birthday pair leading the way. Matey boy turned them away saying its not fir his business. Them he realised there where near on 20 of us and back tracked welcoming us in. Well this wasn't recieved well so told him politely to do one and carried on walking straight round to Comeback.

Plan B also has a sign up stating no single guys!!!

You make your choices as to where you would like to drink. But we wont be frequenting there for quite some time!!!

We have just returned and had a great time in Plan B .

Personally we don't want to be pestered by single guys , so that works for us anyway.

... I'm guessing the fact that you were in handcuffs and a big group maybe gave them the impression you were on more of a piss up ??

For us it's still the best and busiest meeting place in GC ., with comeback a close second.

Your right as Plan B said to us last night Plan B is a serious business after all, with the 4 guests in there.

As soon as he realised there were another 20 couples behind the couple celebrating their birthday, he all of a sudden changed his mind and tried to get us in, by which time he was told where to stick their serous business, to be honest it wasn’t the owner of Plan B which we know, but was told later, it was the owner who runs Black Bulldog who was in charge that night, so we should have expected it, going on their past, but at least Plan Bs cashing up last night, wouldn’t have taken too long lol, we went round to the comeback bar, spoke to Richard to see if they were allowed in, he was more than happy and we all had a great night.

Jesus some of you lot are far to quick to try and ruin a businesses reputation just because your nose has been put out of joint

Despite the nature of our favourite bars in PDI, people handcuffed together is not a common sight and yes, possibly more akin to a stag or hen, and possibly not suited, which would likely be why they initially said no.

You should have maybe chosen a leash and collar? 😂

Anyway, ALL the owners of these bars/clubs work their arses off, with what is a fairly short season to be profitable. If we jump on them and act as Internet judge and jury because they’ve hurt our feelings, all we do is damage their business for the sake of restoring our dented pride.

Without these bars/clubs/owners…there is no scene in PDI, it’s a simple as that, and we all lose out.

Believe ever bar and club gets a fair crack of the whip and enjoyed many a time in plan B the experience last night was not a good one.

It's not a case of being Internet judge and jury its sharing a customer experience ultimately it is the customer who is judge and jury as they vote with there feet.

It was the way in which entry was refused

Ok, so your group was the group with the bad experience, you chose not to go in and went elsewhere, that’s you voting with your feet, perfectly fine. Venue punished, pride restored.

Maybe let everyone else have their own experience, and make up their own mind and vote with their feet based on that experience.

There's two sides to every story and we've never had anything but smiles from the owner and staff in PlanB although we go to comeback just as frequently if not more, and there's things we like and dislike about both.

I wouldn't wlag off any bar for a one off experience,we had a disagreement with a club owner but we went back and enjoyed it on another night.

Aren't single guys allowed in the outer area (much like comeback) or has it changed recently ?

Hi ya comeback bar there is only one section in the bar terraces they can’t not automatically sit at unless invited by a couple,

we have a new table system in place single guys find a table that says TAKE A SEAT to get served and your welcome to walk around the bar

Anyone that owns a bar should not refuse entry to anyone, unless they are causing trouble or d*unk.

Some bars without doubt get up there own arses just because they become successful.

Fortunately I have not had a problem gaining entry either alone or with others.

And perhaps a good idea for a prospective bar owner would be to have a bar for couples only, from what I’ve heard, single men tend to get a bit of a rough ride in some bars, and as we all know they pay more for access to bars/clubs

lol it would be easier to select if the single guys coming in to town would dress to impress and not be to d*unk when in the bars & clubs

I know you can’t tar all with the same brush but a few make it the way it is for the others sorry!! and as a lady who does like the singles if I want you I know where to find you in the bars n clubs
