I usually stay all inclusive but I’m thinking it’s a bit of a waste. I’m not really a drinker these days, and I don’t really eat much. I know my way around the island. Wasn’t planning on going this year but I’m thinking 10 days September October time. Going on my own. Anyone got any recommendations for some self catering accommodation, flexible on dates just want something reasonable cost wise.

Decent pool would be nice but I do head to the beach every day so it’s not essential

I stayed at greenfields self catering in january..reasonably cheap at the time and has a great pool area with 2 bars and a naked rooftop if the beach is windy

Gold is popular for swingers but its quite pricey, there's plenty to choose from, it depends what area you prefer, we have booked 3 different self catering apartments/bungalow for this year, priced for a week between £280 -£460.

Hope that helps.

Totally agree with you about Gold .. it’s close to everything and can be a bit pricey but you get what you pay for .. we always stay there . Best of both worlds as it’s close to the beach also

Thanks everyone, I’ll take a look. I normally stay Kasbah end in the Princess/Papayas row of hotels so I’ll have a look at the suggestions.

I have been to Gold but for self catering I’m not sure it’ll tick the boxes … although tbh I’m in the sun all day long usually so don’t need anything overly comfortable

Feyna apts are really nice. Quiet area 2 mins from Gold and a 5 minute walk to Cita. No bar at pool tho but there are nearby shops at Sandia Centre. 10 minute walk to beach down the stairs

We're on our second trip here. It's a wee bit tired but has everything you need; the location is excellent; the maid service is great; the pool and hot tub area is good also. Location is the real big win here!
