I went there a couple of years ago in late Feb. Weather was sunny, about 70 degrees-ish, the sardines were gorgeous, food very good overall (the Royal in Yumbo especially), swimming in the apartment pool outdoors was excellent, the sea was too rough to swim in at Maspalomas beach. The nude/swinger beach was fairly busy, several dozen people on the sunloungers. The cycling was really good too in the daytime. In the evenings there were enough people around to basically fill one bar in the Cita centre with a handful of people in the others maybe, most people there were German/Dutch/Nordic, I only met two from UK. The Yumbo centre was busier if you're looking for the gay scene (and apparently is much busier during the carnival week in March). The other nightlife was minimal, very quiet bars, no live music elsewhere etc. I did contemplate going back last winter as it is pleasant enough, but the accommodation prices had doubled (apparently it was pretty empty too, who'd have guessed) & that put me off. I may look again this Feb. |
