Has this been implemented yet and if so, what sort of delays expected ?

Not quite sure what you mean by entry/exit system but if you are on about eye/finger print scanning and all that malarkey then no at least certainly not yesterday when I arrived in LPA in fact they weren’t even scanning passports

Just a visual and a stamp 👍

New system not operational last week but the passport control rush was a fiasco as usual !!

Make sure you leave plenty of time to get through

I have been following the situation on GC facebook pages, this is what I have gleamed.

If more than one UK flight arrives at the same time there seems to be quite a queue, up to an hour or two. Later flights seem much quicker to get through as they are spread apart. The situation seems to be the same on the other islands.

Going home don't hang in the bars and duty free, make sure you are queuing for the gate an hour before. Some people have missed their flights and there seems little order to the queue. If your flight is going to leave, get yourself to the front of the queue and make a fuss.

There is also the problem of A320 groundings this weekend at least, BA not affected but I believe Whizz and Easyjet are.

I travel a lot and most airports treat UK and EU passport holders the same some will ask UK passport holders to go to the next line but it is usualy shorter and faster.
