Hi! Has anyone been to both Secret in Gran Canaria and Mystic in Tenerife? We’ve already tried Secret and are going back in November, but thinking of checking out Mystic this time. Which one did you prefer? Also, does Mystic have a DJ playing Latin music, or is it mostly hip hop rap?

I've been to both many times. I've never seen a DJ at Secret, but I'm not saying there's never been one. It's true that as a single person, I've never been to Saturday parties, where there are certainly DJs and much more. From my experience, I can say that Secret has the advantage of the size of the facilities, but it's much more business-like than Mystique. In other words, the former is clearly chasing the euros. Mystique, even though it's smaller, has a much better layout. There are possibly more people in this scene in Gran Canaria than in Tenerife, but this isn't the fault of the venue, and as you well know, this is something that varies and is very unpredictable from day to day. It's actually been a while since I've been to Mystique because I've been to Gran Canaria more than Tenerife, and I was very, very seriously considering going soon. I also just remembered that I tried to go once, and there were capacity limitations for singles, so I ultimately couldn't go; this is something that I obviously don't like at all. Because often, you can plan to go the same week or a week in advance, but no more, and it creates distrust of the place. The truth is, it's complicated if Secret didn't have that clear commercial focus... in Gran Canaria, you have Peaches and Cream, which doesn't have that focus, although for my taste, it lacks "nooks" or hiding places to make things easier (I've only been once), and other than that, it's very good. In fact, when I went, it was because I decided not to return to Secret.

Greetings and happy fabing!

Mystic dance floor / bar is about 1/4 of the size of secrets .

The play rooms in mystic are nicely laid out with large public and private spaces ... it doesn't have a big open play area like secrets though.

The times I've I've visited mystic have always been fun and very busy on the Saturday night, but I guess it's like anywhere, some good nights some quiet.

I've been to secrets before and it's felt dead in there as it's such a big club to fill.

The biggest downside to Tenerife is that there are no meeting bars or nude beaches in that area , it is a lot more lively for a normal vanilla holiday though.

Great, thanks for the answers. When we were at Secret on Saturday, there was a DJ. On Sunday, he wasn’t there anymore, there were fewer people, and when we went on Monday, there were very few people at all, but the atmosphere was nice. That’s exactly why we’re worried that Tenerife doesn’t have nudist beaches and that it won’t be as fun as Gran Canaria.
