Seem to be a few holidays around, doing a quick look, mainly to the south of the island. 1400-2500 per person, inc flights-EZY and JET2

Fun on Fuerte is always hit and miss, depending on your preferences.

As an asthmatic I have to agree, calimas are not ideal conditions. We just went to the centre in Rosario for groceries and a coffee today. Helped us stay out of the weather by remaining indoors and having a wander.

But I'd rather be indoors without the need for heating than back home in Ireland in the cold and damp with heating on.

Hopefully it doesn't hang around too long

We have noticed the increased frequency in recent years - we do live here and, fortunately, don't find that Calimas aggravate our breathing too much, but anybody who doesn't believe in climate change should spend some time here. Windier, hotter and more frequent Calimas.

Feel free to explain where 'living here' places you in the pecking order in comparison to folks who rent long term but aren't residents, regular or occasional week/fortnight holidaymakers, people who have been visiting the island for 30 years or more and people who own property here, but chose not to live here all the time. We find it quite amusing.

Been here two days, North of island.

Landed on Saturday to be greeted by torrential rain and soaking wet cases……

Had a bit more rain yesterday, and today the wind is howling even by Fuerte standards! Hope it calms and the dust haze in the air clears….

Hopefully tomorrow……..beach…naked !!!!
