Yes, follow road, past camp site till you come to the sweet water canal (dead end). Turn left there is a part where you have to go left away from the coast and then right again but there is a "Playa" sign on fence to follow. After this just follow "road". That will lead to car park and walk ways. Someone mentioned is it safe, well it is a bit isolated and we have had a rear window put through a few years ago but those things can happen anywhere when of the beaten track and its only been the once in about 20 visits.

I was there twice last week. Parking was ok and, I think, quite safe.

It is mixture of nudists (sometimes with their kids) and people in swimsuits. As mentioned before, in the middle of the beach you have more nudists. A lot of gay guys looking for some action and a lot of men walking in the dunes.

I had the luck of meeting a couple on every visit (Polish and Belgian) and to have some fun with them (one in the dunes, the other at their place).

Walked along right side and came across Rainbow flags and lots of nudes in Dunes and on beach, plan to visit again in April Suns out guns out

That would be the bar directly at the end of the boardwalk.

That part of the beach, and by default the bar, isn't naturist. So if you want a drink there it is strictly kit on.

It’s a fun, relaxed atmosphere. But one afternoon, this guy came and started acting all tense and desperate for action. He “claimed” that a couple was only for him to entertain, even though they didn’t signal any interest in that sad individual.

It really ruined the fun for everyone else, never bothered going back.

We no longer go in the dunes. No other reason than Mrs is no longer interested.

In the days when we did most of the guys were fine and Mrs had some good fun in there.

But sadly yes, there is the occasional knobhead.

***HEADS UP FOLKS***

Guardamar has closed its beaches to bathers due to the appearance of Blue Dragons (Glaucus atlanticus) a type of sea slug with a very powerful, sometimes deadly, sting.

For more info google the Latin name.

Los Tussales/Els Tossals (AKA La Marina Beach) is part of Guardamar so I expect it will be affected.

Just to clarify.

Reading later reports the affected beach was Playa els Vivers on the opposite side of the river Segura.

The beach wasn't closed but swimming (or even paddling) in the sea was banned. I believe the ban is now lifted.

However these "Blue Dragons" were/are around and although rare are VERY dangerous. Their sting is more powerful than a Portuguese Man of War.

If you see one on any beach do not touch it and if possible report it to the lifeguards.
