Nudist Beach in Ibiza

Anyone recommend a good nudist beach, stopping in San Antonio. Is it worth trying the one San Antonio area.

Es Cavallet is probably worth a try but there are others:

However, do note that even Es Cavallet has become more of a destination thanks to the (actually rather good) Chiringuito restaurant located at the entrance to the beach. This means that there are far more non nudists visiting the beach than there used to be.

10 years ago the beach was 90% naked. Now it's about 30% (if that, sometimes) until you venture about 1km or so along toward the area which is popular with the LGBT+ crowd. Straight nudists and couples are becoming a rarer site, so you may be better off finding an alternative location of that isnt your thing.

Back in the day you used to be able to find all sorts of goings on in the sand dunes at EsC but they are protected now and thanks to the number of voyeurs you are less likely to encounter anything happening there and engaging in it might also get you into trouble.

Ibiza is NOT the wild, louche and laissez faire island it used to be. Both locals and tourists alike are much less tolerant than in the past, so dont think you can just go naked wherever you want or think that people will turn a blind eye - they wont.

I used to go naked at Es C all the time but haven't felt comfortable doing so since about 2016. You may find that things are quieter toward the end of the season but Ibiza is busy right up to Oct now, by which time the days you would want to go to EsC and go nude will be fewer.

Also bear in mind that due to the orientation of the beach it can be really really breezy there and it also has a tendency to accumulate piles of sea. As there has recently been a big storm this is likely to be the case right now and the authorities sometimes take a while to clear it away. If it is covered in sea you wont want to go there because after a few days it smells REALLY bad and will be full of flies and other critters.

Salinas on the other side of the salt flats hasn't really been a nudist beach for well over a decade. Technically you might be able to do it, but you'll be one of a tiny handful of people who do go naked and people will comment, look at you funny or just be plain horrified.

My advice would be to try and find a very out of the way cove if you really want to strip off but that may prove a challenge in itself and involve a fair bit of hiking.

I've never personally been to Formentera, but I believe that there are far more opportunities and it is far more accepted there than on Ibiza itself.

Menorca is a far better Balearic choice for those who want to go naked, or of course the many many beaches in mainland Spain that are frequented by nudists. The Canaries are a good choice too.
