Gloucester & West Mids

We finally booked to come to PDI for our first visit 14-18 March and have just found out the carnival is on!

Whilst it looks amazing and a great party atmosphere, we’re wondering if the clubs will still be open to enjoy the real reason we were coming

W&W x

Think a lot of places will be shut on the actual carnival procession day as too many d*unken youngsters everywhere- going on previous history

We were in the Yumbo yesterday when they were doing a sound check- the stage and sound system were amazing!

We absolutely love carnival. Yeah a lot of places close, that’s mainly down to the huge numbers on the streets. Last year there was 250,000 on parade day. They are hoping to top that number this year.

We will close on Saturday the 16th due to the parade route going right past us and closing the road

It's chaos from lunchtime usually, the busses stop running into PDI about 1600

So where’s the best place to join the fun for the carnival tomorrow?

Anyone know the timings and route or hints/tips for a great place to watch it from?

What’s everyone else doing?

Many thanks x
