"Wondering if there is 'enough' to do on the Island." Don't forget there are also flights between the islands. Our experience of Fuerteventura is that it's very chilled - so a lot depends on how self-reliant you are as a couple.

"We tend to spend a month in either Lanzarote, Gran Canaria or Fuerteventura every winter and look at it as a boot camp kind of stay. We live as we do in the U.K. eating in and staying in most nights but go running every morning and going for a walk every afternoon and every evening. Our current accommodation is not in Fuerteventura but like most that we choose is about two miles from anything interesting, this means that if we go out every day - three times - we do at least 12 miles a day. In fact, most stays we end up nearer 20 miles a day by the end of the trip, lose anything from 2kg to 5kg in weight and miss all the dark, damp, miserable depth of winter U.K. days. It’s a great way to spend a month (or longer) in the sunshine and get fitter and healthier along the way. It doesn’t matter which island you choose. " This actually sounds perfect! ![]()

"This actually sounds perfect! ![]() Just need to add a daily, well earned visit to the cake shop in El Cotillo, and I'd agree!

"Which one is that, the one beside the kebab and pitaya, or el goloso?" El Goloso, but if they's another one we're always happy to try new things!
