PDI bars

Heading to PDI in a few weeks and looking for a bar to take a friend to. She’s new to the scene and isn’t keen on going to a club just yet but would like to find a bar where couples and singles hang out.

Search for EdenSwingersClub and on their home page there is a tab "Swingers Guide to PDI". It lists a lot, but not all, of the bars and clubs with descriptions. I would check that out first.

Black Bulldog is either love or hate as the have very strict dress code and you usually need to book as it is very popular, especially with Germans. Easy to see if it is to friends taste - just walk past it as it is very open to the corridor.

Route 69 (not in the Eden Review) was new in Feb 23 and is a hybrid between a Bar and a Club and I would highly recommend the venue for your friend.

Keep in mind that unlike the vanilla bars the swingers bars open later, typically 9:00pm but don't normally get busy until 10:00.

If you are going in Aug many of the bars/clubs opening days are either restricted or closed so check in advance; most have at least one night a week when they are closed at any time of year. If you are going in Sep then most are back to their normal open days as the scene is back in full swing, pun intended

Thanks I’ll give that site a look.

Googled The Black Bulldog and it was mixed reviews.

It’s September we go so good to know the opening times change.

We like the Before Bar, lovely hosts and a very welcoming atmosphere.

They used to have topless nights which are a fun way to get people chatting.

If the lady is not ready to visit a club, this bar would be an ideal introduction and illustrate that there should never be any expectation to play.

Just sit around, have a drink and enjoy the craic.

Yes, we totally agree with this. Before Bar is our fave bar in PDI, it's relaxed and chilled, easy to chat to couples and singles.

Looking forward to trying Route 66 as this place wasn't open last time there but hearing great things x
