RIU Oliva Beach renovation

According to Spanish news outlets the long overdue renovation of this resort has recently been approved.

TUI and other travel agents have zero availability beyond summer, on Hotels.com it says the hotel is unavailable from 17th Oct to 15th May 2024.

Has anyone with upcoming bookings at Oliva Beach any info or been contacted by their travel agent?

I have 2 upcoming reservations in November and February

We where going to book for November, found out a bit back it was to be shut for renovation. So booked a different island, back there though shortly. Can't wait.

TUI keeping their customers in the dark, wouldn’t surprise me if they arrange alternative accommodation nearer the time of departure.

No doubt a renovation is needed, the main selling point for me is location, location, location

I found out about the renovation whilst I was there a few weeks ago.

So I booked a stay there this sept .

Hopefully they won't sting us with excessive price rises after its open again

They will. Its been cheap for a while due to its ghastly health issues.

Always managed to get a fantastic deal and never experienced any sickness or Norovirus myself but I know of others who have

Might double in price after refurbishment, we will have to see

Just spoke to Tui regarding our stay in Jan 24.

They claim that they have not received any notification of the hotel being closed !

I do not trust Tui !!

I don't blame you. It's planned to be closed till well into the new year.

Hence no availability when trying to book.

Of course TUI knows about the closure, sadly they are not transparent with their customers!

Closer to your departure date they will offer alternative accommodation (pricier, no doubt about that) or allow you to cancel

By that time you really want to go on holiday, more likely you accept their offer.

I’m ready to book a backup holiday, it’s a safe bet this stay at Oliva Beach will not be happening

Hi. Anyone know any more about this hotel. Got cancelled last October but just noticed that it is now available again? Hoping to book for later in the year.

It never shut for refurbishment…spoken to guests staying there atm who said one week before the announced closure they were winding down with maybe 30 guests in total, only to call off the refurb all together.

It’s open as usual and you can book until spring 2025
