"OK so this post has pre-empted something I have been going to post. I spend a week in PDI 4th to 11th June. The resort was quiet, compared to October and March. Quiet a few clubs and bars offer reduced opening nights or in some cases have already started their summer shutdown for a well earned rest. So here's the thing... if you walk into a swingers bar or club and it's quiet , say only 2 or 4 people and think, it's quiet I will go elsewhere, then there will still only be 2 or 4 people there when the next couple arrive 10 mins later. If they think the same then it's going to stay that way all night. So maybe if you walk into somewhere and it's quiet, stay for a couple of drinks, maybe an hour, chat to the owners/staff and engage with the few people there . That way, when next people come in and they stay for a drink it is starting to get busier. As we swingers know, it's more about quality than quantity. And remember , the owners put their sanity and finances on the line to provide us all with safe and fun environments to enjoy our lifestyle, so let's give them some support. Maybe post on fab something along the lines of , Where are we all meeting tonight ? So that everyone is not wandering around trying to find a crowd. Speaking with friends that live on the island and owners, June is a quiet time, and I think people all across Europe are feeling the cost of living crunch and maybe having one less escape . Also cap season is now open which dilutes then numbers as well. All this said, I had a fantastic week, with amazing nights in Route69, Eden, before smp and lemurs, and also peaches and cream. Met some lovely friendly like minded people and had some fun. So please be supportive of the bars and clubs that rely on us swingers for their livelihoods , and will see you all when back in October. Thank you. "
Also, forgot to add, someone has to be the first in a venue at the start of an evening |
