Costa Blanca Spain...

Depends what you mean by "main strip"

If you are thinking of something like Benidorm "square" or similar then you will be disappointed.

In Torrevieja itself there are a few late bars on the promenade end of Calle's Apolo and Heraclio but most late music bars are now down the harbour wall at Marina Salinas. Most tend to cater for the Spanish market.

There are some small hotels in Torrevieja but bigger resort type hotels don't really exist. Most visitors own or rent an apartment/house.

In the general area there are small pockets of nightlife here and there. Around us La Florida (especially the Abbey Tavern) is popular as is the strip of bars and restaurants at Cabo Roig.

There is the La Zenia hotel (pretty much the only large hotel in the area) which is between the two but neither places are walking distance from it.

This area (collectively called Orihuela Costa) is much more international than Torrevieja, but as in Torrevieja, most visitors either own or rent an apartment/house.

You could take a look on Airb&b or booking. com

I’m staying with a couple at Calle Ramon Freixa would you know if this is near the local bars, they said we’re about 10 minutes walk from the beach

There are small bars dotted around almost everywhere, although back there they are pretty thin.

Bar Carlos at the opposite end of Calle Sta Petra would be about the best, 500/600 metres ish.

As for 10 minutes to the beach from there, maybe Hussein Bolt at full tilt would manage it but for a mere mortal I'd think double it.

I’m assuming playa de Los locos would be the closest beach & Usain Bolt is a close relative
