Rate the Bars and Clubs in PDI, based on your last visit but keep it simple...and nothing nasty please!

Before SMP - 7 Comfortable but Tits Out nights are not for us.

Comeback Bar - 8 It's been around forever, always gets a crowd, recent improvements only make it better.

Black Bulldog - 8 Small, open to the public, great music and definitely one of the edgiest vibes around, cheap prices too.

Klamotte - 7 good vibe but not for us.

Hot Scandal - 5 Clean but 99% Bi/Gay not for us.

Fun4all - 9 consistently a good crowd there and a fun atmosphere, good 80's music for the Mrs too.

Secret - 6 huge Club, low score due to past personal experiences there.

Tantra - haven't visited

Lemur - haven't visited

Lux - haven't visited

Temptation - haven't visited

Sweet Moments - 8 small, very busy but also very very warm!

2x2 Club - 7 currently no couples night, which we always enjoyed.

2x2 Meeting Point - 6 small but worth a visit on the nights with a live sex show. Too many single guys for our liking though.

Studio69 - 8 great for a night out in Yumbo but crowd hit and miss, believe the Drag shows draws a bigger crowd.

Eden - 9 would be our favourite Club, great facilities but unfortunately oversubscribed on the night we were due to attend and we didn't get in.

Moonlight Dream - 7 good Club but not for us.

If I missed anywhere it was unintentional and we either don't know about it, or didn't visit.

PDI 12-26th Nov 24

Before SMP - 8 based on the last experience, friendly and much busier than our first visits. Almost a 9

Comeback Bar - 5 based on our last visit, it was cold and windy, music too loud and people spread out in the corridor (we'll try it again now it's been improved)

Black Bulldog - 4 it's always been packed and bouncer extremely rude, managed to get a drink once

Klamotte - don't go

Hot Scandal - don't go

Fun4all - 7 it's a difficult one because we've had some great nights but the last 3 trips we've been pestered by single men

Secret - 9 always had good experiences and always had good fun

Tantra - haven't visited

Lemur - haven't visited

Lux - 8 we absolutely love this club but it can be Smokey and needs a good crowd

Temptation - 4 again based on our last visit, the original temptation would have got a 9 but this one has been empty when we go although it's a beautiful club

Sweet Moments - 6 don't go often

2x2 Club - 5 sometimes go for naked night very very full on rude single guys

2x2 Meeting Point - 5 based in our last two visits but we hear it may have improved will try it next visit. Love the club but it was empty and closed early.

Studio69 - 9 always made to feel very welcome and met some great couples there and a few nice single guys

Eden - 9 always made extremely welcome, Cath even has a special song for us, love the jacuzzi and the control and vetting of single guys. Almost a 10 but need to keep them on their toes lol

Moonlight Dream - 9 we go on couples nights, love the showers and the people, speaking German is a big help, who doesn't love sex in a garden shed lol

Yes can understand that, we booked not knowing it was a swingers paradise lol it was only when someone told us it was full of gay people that we started looking.

Not rating any as never even tried marmite! but hope temptations takes off, we went in last night and it’s very plush and sexy, had a long chat with the new guy in there and he is doing all the right things, just needs the people at the moment but will definitely go back

Probably like many, we requested a review section for clubs overseas, and whilst there’s a few clubs, it’s a shame there’s not more clubs in this section, so this is a great post and happy to share our subjective views.

Our scores are based on our last three visits to Gran Canaria over the last 12 months. We’ve been fortunate to not had a bad night/experience anywhere. Long May this continue!

Before SMP - 8 Had some super nights on the last visit, a great alternate option to the busier and noisier upstairs bars in the Cita. Hosts are warm and welcoming.

Comeback Bar - 9 Possibly the main meeting point in the Cita and gets busier and busier. Wasn’t a fan of this place preR&A, but they’ve put their stamp on it, invested and we enjoy our nights here.

Black Bulldog - 8 at best, 5 at worst. When you’re in, you’re in and have had some great nights and service. A 5 is a bit unfair, but down to how they manage the entry, which can be frustrating. That said, it doesn’t stop us from visiting.

Klamotte - 6 Only head here on a Cita Challenge but a nice alternative and a friendly bar.

Hot Scandal - 5 Nothing wrong with the place. It’s nice, clean, good facilities but the score reflects what we look for in our part of the lifestyle, which this venue doesn’t meet.

Fun4all - 8 had some cracking nights here and always part of our holiday, good 80's music for the Mrs too.

Secret - 9.5 This is hands down our favourite club, and we would give a 10, but just a couple of things why it isn’t a perfect score. The main is that it doesn’t 100% meet what we want from a club. We enjoy couples/females nights so would have loved a night of this. However, there is a split at the back of the club, so no biggy. Great size, great facilities. Love the Latin vibe so music is on point for us. The owners and staff have been wonderful to us year on year and even though we consider them friends, the score is not based on this.

Tantra - Will score later this month.

Lemur - Will score later this month.

Lux - 6 Only head here on a Cita Challenge but always enjoyed our time here. Owner shares his birth date with Lizzie and they enjoy a duet of dancing on the pole whilst he plays the piano (wonderfully I hasten to add).

Temptation - 6 Only head here on a Cita Challenge but a nice club. Owner has always been warm and welcoming.

Sweet Moments - 7 small, a bit smoky for our liking but we’ve had fun here with the German majority and they’ve always been welcoming to us. Even the hot Deutsch damens have been very supportive to get Lizzie’s tits out before drinks were ordered.

2x2 Club - 6 A nice club and we enjoyed couples nights here in the past. Would love it to return as it was always on our holiday itinerary.

2x2 Meeting Point - 7.5 Always been friendly, welcoming and accommodating for us. The owner has gone out his way to make an impromptu karaoke for us. Drinks are reasonably priced and put on shows.

Studio69 - 8.5 As we like to stay around the Yumbo, having a swinging venue on our doorstep is a winner for us. Staff are a 10, drinks are a 10 and put on some great entertainment.

Eden - 8.5 We’ve always loved this venue and made a nice change to get out of the Cita. Delighted when it reopened as Eden and a much needed refurbish. Looks the part and have had some top nights here.

Moonlight Dream - 6.5 A great club, love the layout and hope to hit this one night when we visit on a really busy night, as with the play area and cleanliness, it could easily be a 7.5/8 for us.

Great idea for the post but as you can see Everyone has a different take on each venue according to taste and what type of night they had....

Always found Secrets the best at weekends but as non-smokers Before bar always have people smoking at the bar (yes E-cigarettes is still smoking !!!) Black Bulldog is great (if you are near the bar away from the front, likewise Sweet Moments

That was the whole idea of the post, rate them all and show people the diversity of what's on offer, especially newbies. We get a lot of PM's from newbies, asking advice but ultimately, we only reply with our opinion? Hoped the rating system would also avoid the usual sabre rattling and give a more balanced view on the scene.

Based on our first visit to GC.

Before SMP - Didn't make it to here, unfortunately. They sent us a nice invite though so hopefully next time.

Comeback Bar - Very crowded and loud when we visited. Couldn't get a seat so moved on.

Black Bulldog - Same as above so we sat next door in the German bar and watched the comings and goings.

Klamotte - Didn't visit.

Hot Scandal - Didn't visit.

Fun4all - 7. Friendly staff and a clean, well laid out club. Dance floor in the main area gives it a nightclub vibe which isn't really our thing. Play rooms were empty late on so we had our own fun.

Secret - Haven't visited. Doorman was a bit short with us and that put us off.

Tantra - 7. A physically beautiful club. Very well laid out and maintained. Empty bar one other couple when we visited though.

Lemur - Didn't visit.

Lux - 8. A bar set up with play rooms at the back. Friendly and welcoming staff. Barman is great craic. Would visit again.

Temptation - 8. A very well set up club. Lovely decour and friendly staff. We'll be back.

Sweet Moments - Didn't visit.

2x2 Club - 7. A good crowd were in when we visited. Pretty well set up but too many single men for us. We had our own fun. Would probably visit again.

2x2 Meeting Point - 7. We visited on the night of the erotic show. Busy and warm but we enjoyed it.

Studio69 - Didn't visit.

Eden - Had intended to visit but missed it. Next time.

Moonlight Dream - 9. Very friendly staff and crowd. This was the best night we had in a club. We'll be back.

It's a difficult one ...too quiet and not enough atmosphere, too loud and you can't hear anyone. We thought Black Bulldog had a good sound level, buzzing atmosphere but could still hear people...just very small

Lemur - 7 Adding our score for Lemur and sharing our thoughts. Considering it’s a new bar, this could potentially bounce to 8+ and is cleverly catered to the Before clientele. As we all know, Before is a meeting point and allow you to relax and engage in conversation with music at a good level. Lemur extends the night to the Before customers and gives them a more intimate outlet. Music slightly louder than Before (which makes sense as it’s a club vibe), but not overpowering. Like Before, it’s a small, intimate vibe and very welcoming. It’s what I would call both single male and couple friendly, but limited to 10 males. There’s an area where males can watch behind a cage and also offer their hardware through the glory holes. Then the couples area is just that. However, if a single male is invited to play with a couple, then the couple have to “register” him at the bar, and then they are allowed to join that couple to play (that is the operative word. Not an invitation for males to join other couples). When the couple leave the play area, then the male has to leave the area too, or they will be asked to leave the premise.

"Lemur - 7 Adding our score for Lemur and sharing our thoughts. Considering it’s a new bar, this could potentially bounce to 8+ and is cleverly catered to the Before clientele. As we all know, Before is a meeting point and allow you to relax and engage in conversation with music at a good level. Lemur extends the night to the Before customers and gives them a more intimate outlet. Music slightly louder than Before (which makes sense as it’s a club vibe), but not overpowering. Like Before, it’s a small, intimate vibe and very welcoming. It’s what I would call both single male and couple friendly, but limited to 10 males. There’s an area where males can watch behind a cage and also offer their hardware through the glory holes. Then the couples area is just that. However, if a single male is invited to play with a couple, then the couple have to “register” him at the bar, and then they are allowed to join that couple to play (that is the operative word. Not an invitation for males to join other couples). When the couple leave the play area, then the male has to leave the area too, or they will be asked to leave the premise.

Personally, we play with couples only, but I think this is a nice way of incorporating single men and couples who want single men. Good clear rules and hopefully it will be respected."

We love this club (and not just because we love the owners). It's one of those places that just needs people... and this we have no doubt will happen very soon. It's a great venue with a friendly host, good music selection and cheap drinks. Before Bar then Lemur is a recipe that works for us every time. As fellow club owners we can appreciate where so much care and effort has gone in to making people feel at home. This club will go from strength to strength.

Tantra - 7 Adding our score for Tantra and sharing our thoughts. Again, this is a low score and could easily bounce way higher, but do not think it would be fair to give it a higher rating until established a little longer to pass judgment. However, decor easily 11 out of 10. Definitely one of the classiest clubs we have been to. Music is typically Latin beats; reggaeton, salsa, bachata, etc. and volume levels enough to feel you’re in a club, but you can easily converse. This makes sense as they already have sister club Secret to cater for the contrast. Once past the swanky seating, bar area you enter the changing rooms/lockers to dress down. It is beyond this point where you cannot be fully dressed. But why would you want to? There’s possibly one of the largest swankiest hot tubs to chill in. It could easily hold 40/50 people sitting down. Then downstairs is the sauna and a number of open playrooms, with one private room. The price is very reasonable in that €35 (for couples) will gain you entry, plus locker with towel and flip flops, plus two drinks each. A few teething problems, which I expect will be ironed out over time. One for us, is that Grey Goose is available at €11 but as a premium drink, it wasn’t included in the price. Instead offered the standard Smirnoff and Absolut which are €6 and €7. Two things, it was disappointing that whilst I understand they didn’t want to include a premium drink in the price, that I wasn’t able to pay the difference for a premium drink. And the second disappointment was they offered Absolut for the first drink, and then decided it was premium for the second round. Hopefully, these are little things they can straighten out. It hasn’t put us off visiting, and we will visit again during our stay. It’s definitely a must visit club on your trip to PDI and look forward to seeing other people’s views on the club over time.

We stand by our reviews. As we stayed close to the Cita, our holiday was different to when we stay near the Yumbo, so didn’t spend much time in the Yumbo or Sandia during October/November.

I’ll add La Suite to the list. And give this a 4. A very strange one and whilst we didn’t spend much time in the Yumbo, we saw it open twice in 19 days. With Winter Pride, we thought we’d have seen it open more. So whilst this states it’s a swingers meeting point (they have cards in the sex shop Cita Center promoting it), I’m not sure I would give it Swinger Venue status at this point. Nice little bar but a confused identity. And we didn’t meet any swingers there. Would be good to get other’s views. But as far as we’re concerned, there’s only one real swinging venue in the Yumbo, and that’s Studio 69.

Before SMP - 8 Always a warm friendly welcome from Elena.

Comeback Bar - 6 Not our favourite venue, too loud, if its really busy the service is slow and virtually impossible to get a seat. On the other hand though it shows just how popular it is.

Black Bulldog - 8 Our favourite with great music, good measures and reasonable prices.

Klamotte - Not Visited

Hot Scandal - Not Visited

Fun4all - 9 This is a relaxed, no pressure club, good mix of music and fair pricing.

Secret - 7 didn't visit last time but based on previous visits. Love the vibe and atmosphere.

Tantra - 8 Lovely venue with loads of potential, was quiet when we went but that wouldn't put us off visiting again. The jacuzzi possibly the best in PDI.

Lemur - 6 Small club and was extremely quiet when we went. Not sure we would go again unless there was a group of us.

Lux - Not visited

Temptation - 6 like tantra, had it been in the original place it would have got an 8 as it was a much better flow.

Sweet Moments - Not visited

2x2 Club - Not Visited

2x2 Meeting Point - Not visited

Studio69 - 8 Always had a warm welcome from Saskia, unfortunately we only really visit if we are out in Yumbo that night otherwise its out of the way for the other clubs.

Eden - 5 it's just not for us.

Moonlight Dream - Not visited.

Looking forward to doing a wee bit more exploring this time, it'll be our 4th visit this year, however we always seem to end up in the same haunts...

We do have great plans to explore further afield prior to jetting off to the island every visit. h

However we're easily distracted.

That said;

Black Bulldog, very trendy and packed. Plus a little light entertainment...8

Comeback....its been our favourite since the days of Martin and Co...

The extension has been a boom...bar staff always lovely...9

Secrets....despite the infamous "dress going missing night"...always fun, love the music and dancing...8.5

Probably not, there's too many variables not least the people there and to be 100% honest we've had some awful nights in some of our favourite places and even had a great night in a place we don't rate.

Just to add a couple of more points from our experience (scores are the same).

Black Bulldog: Straight in this time (granted only one visit this round). Super friendly but we found the music far too loud at the back in the smoking area. We were trying to have a conversation and spent the next 30 minutes lip reading and ringing in my ears. Apple Watch was moaning about the decibels (the last time it was on one about noise volumes was England v Germany at Wembley). Grey Goose was €6 last October, €7 in April-June and now €9. Not complaining but we found last year their prices were a lot cheaper and a more compelling reason to visit. Now it’s comparable with other venues (though Tantra is €11 or €12 without mixer).

Comeback Bar: I know there had been some complaints about the music levels. It appeared to be a bit quieter over the last few days of our visit.

Secret: Speaking to a local swinger (who couldn’t speak English but appeared delighted that he found someone to converse with, though my Spanish is only perfect when d*unk). He told me that he and his missus used to love this place and was his favourite club. However, there’s been a change and lots more younger people attend and don’t really play. The locals like to dress in something skimpy then parade around but not do anything. He thinks it’s lost its way as a swinging club. I know there’s been a few comments on here that kind of echo this.

However, our experience of Secret felt no different and hands down our favourite club. Are there lots of younger visitors attending making it a bit more discotheque centric. Yes I guess there is. They were dressed down looking great and sexy and added to the mood in our opinion. However, we still found that when we went in the back, there was plenty of play going on and some orgies regardless.

We played a few times there. And having a threesome with another lady, a sexy lady tried to join in, but the lady we were with declined her advances and said we were a thruple.

So from our point of view. It’s definitely a club that drives a younger audience. The music is Latin beats, the decor is chic and it feels sexy. The place drives a sexy mood and from a playing perspective, we still find that we can easily play privately or participate in an open area.

I think from reading through, that age is definitely a factor in how people view venues, along with play preferences? PDI attracts a broad spread of all ages, so some will go to Secret and say "too young a crowd", others will go to 2x2 and say "too old a crowd". Likewise some will say "loads of singles guys, that's great", others will say "too many single guys, not for us". I suppose venues can only slightly determine what sort of crowd they get by altering their set up to attract a particular demographic....but at the end of the day, a euro is still a euro and they are all businesses.

With the increase in the number of venues, we felt things are now maybe spread too thinly and on certain nights, we found it hard to find the right buzz at any of the venues with some overcrowded, whilst others were empty. To us, the smaller, more compact PDI of old was more fun but we still enjoy the place..... it's just a bit more Blackpool than it used to be.( No offence to our friends from Blackpool

)

First time in pdi only dipped our toes a little

First night we went to temptations as no crowds outside etc enticed us in, was quiet but not dead no one playing to begin with but found a lovely Dutch couple for fun we visited on 2 other occasions but empty , nice club small well payed out etc but we liked it . 7 rating due only to our first night experience

Secrets visited once , massive club but in bar area we were virtually followed everywhere by single males that much we never stayed long at one point very uncomfy as we moved seats and still followed as we sat down again . We meet a nice couple and had a little fun through the back but only stayed an hr . 8 rating due to the size of the place and facilities and probably would be higher had we not been put off will deffo return

Lux - popped our heads in was going to have a drink as not too busy but and not our kinda people in as we looked about , was asked for 35 euro min spend so left rating 3

Fun4all - we had a look around here after secrets and really liked the look of the place and would have stayed but was getting late on and never got a chance to try again - rating 8 on first look and will deffo try again.

Comeback bar , music was not banging loud as I’ve read on here and was a nice vibe and really relaxed atmosphere , perfect meeting point and will be first place we go back to next time rating 9

2x2 meeting point again nice relaxed environment not too busy when we were in and just caught end of the show , but another bar that would be good on a starter to the night .

Mrs coat like dress was centre of attention and what she had on under it or not was the banter with bar staff

That's great thanks, didn't know about a €35 minimum spend in Lux. Pity you had problems with single guys too, is it that there's now more going to PDI, or are Clubs/Bars letting more in, for their Euro?

We don't go to Secret for a few reasons, including having a drink spiked there but acknowledge it's popularity, even among our friends. As you say, maybe a bad night. We found 2x2 Meeting Point had too many single guys and friends weren't happy with their drinks there but others find it great.

Gone are the days of the €10 minimum spend in the Clubs and you could pop your head in, to see if there was a crowd first. More venues than ever needing your Euro

Studio 69 is a very relaxed atmosphere so is the bars in Cita like comeback etc

Think it's becoming obvious there are inconsistencies in the way people are treated in some venues, over pricing.

One of the major changes in PDI is money up front in venues, as opposed to the previous nominal €10 minimum Bar Spend. Ok if you pay your money and find the Club/Crowd to your liking but not great if the Club is empty, or you are a Non/Light drinker. Also minimum spend is creeping into Bars, which was previously unheard of.

Times they are a changing and with Sterling weak, not the value for money it used to be for those changing money(thankfully not us)

That was our experience re Tantra. Just as well we went with the 25 euro option instead of the 35.

Maybe a little late for our reviews, but caught Covid out there and only just recovered (not blaming PDI its everywhere), so out tuppence :-

Eden - if youve not been, id say go, very well laid out and lovely staff/owners, can be a 7 or a 9 depending on crowd, i suppose thats the same with all.

Secrets - normally our favourite club, but this time went most nights and left after our 2 drinks, will try again when back in feb as again just depends on crowd, we give it 7 this time. (9 last time)

Fun4All - 9.5 was just the best this visit, 12am is the sweet spot to go.

Before and comeback both fab as usual, though before was a little quiet as it often is.

And a mention goes to Lemur, it was dead, so would be unfair to rate until its established, but very well done out and if you can get a gang together to visit then i would encourage you.

We were there just before pride so i think it was generally a bit quieter than normal as was told the weeks before were rammed x

no mention of entry free and 4 drinks and guy tried to talk us round as we left but €35 was deffo min spend , think that was last Saturday or Sunday night Fair enough. We were there last month. Pretty sure we spent around 30 and had two drinks each. "

It seems Gogi is making it up as he goes along. It was €10 min spend in January then it was €10/ person in march plus mandatory €5 for a towel and locker as it was naked night and there's no lockers left.

Still our favourite layout but I can't be arsed with that sort of thing so we won't be in next week.

Can I just say again, really pleased that this is being used for honest felt reviews and not promoting one club/bar over another. Everyone will have their favourites and every venue will have bad nights but open discussion informs people and helps them decide if they want to try a place out, or give it a miss

We’ve found Secret to be v v busy most nights but with the odd tumble in between…… fun for all has been great fun every night we’ve been in - a real cheesy Euro vibe that’s perfect for your holidays!!

Nov 2022 tour

Rather than a score I'll tell you what we did each night and how we enjoyed it

Sat

We went to S69 where we got the usual warm welcome from Saskia and Tonny and met some lovely people, it was quite busy and the music was good but we could chat easily.

We went to fun4all about 0100 and it was busy with people having fun, We always found it too loud and it was no different. Lots of people love it and it's a unique experience but not one we do more than once per trip.

Sunday

We went to Before and had a great time, meeting lots of new friends and many we had met on previous visits, the live show was fun and attracted quite a big crowd. Elena was warm and welcoming as usual.

We went to Lemur with another couple we had just met after chatting for a few months on fab, the club is fresh and very clean with good music which wasn't too loud and a good selection of playrooms which we tried out, good selection of drinks at reasonable prices and we got a small discount as we got a VIP card from Before also owned by Elena and Albert, who was also a great host.

Monday

We went to Eden on our own and were welcomed by Cath, it was couples night and although we arrived early there were several couples and a special "guest" and within half an hour or so it was very busy. We were fortunate enough to meet a beautiful couple while trying the massage table and engaged in some sensual play before we spent most of the evening with 4 couples in the Jacuzzi. We got lost in time and poor Thomas had a very late closing !

Tuesday

We went to Eden and had a relaxing social evening with several local friends, it was gentlemen's night and although we didn't go to the playrooms a lot of people were coming and going and the bar was very busy. Great to see the club becoming a success with so many now coming.

Wednesday

We went to Moonlight Dream quite early to meet with some German friends and also as people go to the playrooms here early-ish and leave earlier than any of the other clubs, we had arranged to meet friends there and enjoyed showing them the beach huts and a demo of what they were for lol. We also met and played with several very very sexy couples and as always had a fantastic night, everyone is very respectful and know how to enjoy themselves.

Thursday

We went to before bar for a quiet drink and met some local friends, we left for Lux but Gogi was nowhere to be seen and the club closed, we went to temptation but there was nobody in at all, so we went to Lemur. There were a few single guys and couples but we didn't mingle, just had a few drinks until 4am !!

Friday

We went to Bulldog which was as quite quite but it was early then to comeback but again the music was too loud for our ears sinwe went to say goodbye to Elena and stayed for a few drinks before leaving for Tantra but halfway down the stairs we decided to go to secret and leave Tantra for January, it was certainly a good choice. The bar was totally rammed so we had a drink and danced for a while as the music is so loud it was difficult to order a drink never mind have a conversation lol. We went through to the playrooms just after midnight expecting them to be empty but there were already quite a few people. A had a bit of fun with the single guys through the bars then we got into the jacuzzi to chill and we're soon joined by another stunning beautiful couple, we chatted, flirted and ended up in a private room.

The end

All in all a fantastic week, probably our best week ever and certainly the busiest we've seen the clubs since 2019

Unfortunately we didn't get to 2x2 meeting point, Lux, Tantra or the new BDSM club but we'll be back in January and March is now booked so plenty of time to try them all

We booked 10 nights in January last Thursday as we weren't looking forward to coming home to the cold and dark, then when we got home yesterday we booked another week in March to cheer ourselves up.

Not sure the bank manager will feel the same degree of happiness but stuff it, you only live once.

Tell the bank manager you've found a club with really cheap drinks and it's an overall saving

New meeting place/club is Route69, just round the corner, 400m from City Centre. Tammy and Ingle are great hosts that made everyone feel welcome including me as a single male. The venue is new and still building up its popularity, a hybrid between a meeting place and a club with several play areas - large play bed, swing, swing bed, cages, poles, stocks, crosses etc with more planned as the Club develops. Had a great night with Tammy encouraging me to be "daring" well it was Exhibitionist and Voyeurs night. Definitely worth a visit and it is free entry and cheep drinks. I ended up visiting 5 nights in a row and had a great time every time. Lots of other repeat customers. Sure as word spreads, they set up a website et this venue will be busy.
