Hello all,

L and myself are quite excited to be heading out to PDI on the 16th October, and have been drinking up all the useful guides and tips helpfully shared by all those here.

As we are total newbies, and a large number of you seem to be seasoned PDI experts I thought we could ask some basic questions that aren't necessarily covered by the guides;

1. Beach etiquette - So, foremost it's a nudist beach, but I realise it's more liberated than most and the dunes are available for antics. Do the swingers tend to gravitate toward any particular area? L is a bit of an exhibitionist, but doesn't want to get booted off or cause an embarrassment being around others not 'equally minded' for some cheeky flashing.

2. Can you recommend any very easy going bars/clubs for newbs? L gets a little nervous from time to time but relaxes if she feels supported. Likely won't play with others at least I initially, but be good to endulge around other couples

We've booked a villa that's right on the edge if the dunes so pleased it's basically a 10 minute walk to everywhere we want to go, and I already have made a note of all the good restaurants recommended here! L has bought probably 20 new dresses in anticipation so looking forward to it!

The dunes is a lot less popular as it's out of bounds due to conservation. In our experiences since COVID there are mostly single guys waiting for couples and very few couples. If you go don't go until late afternoon.

Depends what you want from bars and they all have a slightly different vibe but most are a stone's throw from each other so you can go round them all in an evening.

There's a very detailed guide here https://m.fabswingers.com/forum/spain/1359170

Thanks guys, noted on the beach advise. Will probably play it by ear and see how things go.

Our mailbox has been smashed, so let me run through all the extra messages!

Make sure you pay a visit to Venus star, bbq day is the most popular, (arrive early), but all days are good, no pressure no hassle and no clothes

any location

Myself and my partner have been planning a trip early next year.

Like you both.

We are nervous and don't want to be pressured into anything.

But we both hope to have a guide from other couples.

Look for to hear about your trip

Can’t help you with regards to the beach as we’ve not ventured down there. Not keen on sand getting everywhere!!

As for bars, choose any from the many already mentioned in the other threads you’ve mentioned, and just go. Once there, get chatting with people there. Maybe drop in to the conversation that you are new and nervous and, if it’s anything like our first visit, you’ll be made to feel welcome. Whoever you talk to will willingly give advice. That’s exactly the time to ask and chat about things. There will be no pressure to play just because you’re talking to them.

The best advice we would give to newbies is chat to everyone, just because you meet them and chat with them doesn’t mean you have to fk them and vice versa.

And I’m sure you all know swingers are a chilled out bunch, pdi is no different to home when it comes to etiquette, what makes pdi different is, lots of people are there that swing, but the weather helps in a massive way, and it’s always fun guessing who is and who isn’t into the scene, so relax, and go with the flow, you’re going to have a great time

I'd agree with the Venus recommendation - you'll see lots of other couples playing with each other on loungers by the pool, and you'll get the chance to show off yourself. Most couples stick with their own partners.

They let in day visitors every day, but the non-barbecue days are MUCH cheaper. In high season they have limited spaces, and you need to get there at opening time.

Bbq day is Saturday, you can get there number off the website, give them a ring, they did stop taking bookings and went to first come first served basis but that may have changed, go early though, lots of sunbeds but it’s nice to have more choice

Our advice is try everywhere and not just the clubs and bars in the Cita Centre. Great guide posted on the forum.

Remember the resort isn't just a swingers place but holiday resort, so if on the swingers beach area (Kiosk 4 PDI) and (Kiosk 6 Maspolomas) remember to be discrete if get naughty. You'll find the Dunas guys hanging around after 4 pm hoping to get lucky, can't miss them, they'll be playing with themselves whilst staring at couples.

You'll love it

Enjoy xxx

Look on the October list see who else is out there and what they have organised we were nervous our first year. Didn’t know where anything was just followed a couple into the cita. Saw stocking tops and took a gamble that they were possibly heading where we wanted to go,
