Yep me. Been resident for 4 years now. Love it, even the hot weather! I think I did it at the right time, which made it a lot easier

Yep, been a resident here for over 4 years.

I imagine there are probably a few more hoops to jump through now thanks to our wonderful Brexit

I used to La Viñuela and then in Arenas near Torre Del Mar before moving back to the UK... so wish i lived there now

Yep lived here 8 years inland half way between Malaga and Granada very rural we brought old olive farm completely reformed it into a holiday home and a permanent place to live

We live here,between Malaga an Nerja.

As others have mentioned it was easy to get residency before Brexit, but now, to be honest I have no idea what is involved. Best to get some good legal advice when you come over to Spain if you eventually plan on living here more than the 180 days allowed for non-residents.

How cool. We are looking inland too. not 100% on area yet though. Plan is to buy and rent out initially then "when" we've secured visas cone over and start a motorcycle touring business, plus a few other ideas. How was the house buying process

And get a good accountant for the business and taxes. A good solicitor as well for things like buying and not getting stung, especially if it's in the Campo.

The area around Tabernas may be worth looking at, the circuit de Almeria is there and some amazing roads, also it's not far from Almeria city and some great beaches within riding distance.

Have been living and a resident in Spain, Los Boliches near Fuengirola for 20 years and the one bit of advice I would give anyone moving to Spain is get a solicitor and let them do all the work for you, it's worth every penny, especially now with it being alot more complicated getting residency than it was when we got ours.

Might be worth looking at the Costa del Luz or somewhere near to Jerez if its for bikes... obviously it's huge in that area with the GP there (still in Andalucia)

Residencey is pretty easy as long as you qualify for all the requirements amd get the health insurance in place, but definitely worth getting someone who specialises in it to help out so all your paperwork is correct.

I would say property buying is harder work than residency these days, absolute minefield and different in all areas... definitely need a good solicitor and never give deposits on any houses, something that many think is a requirement!

I meant to mention a lot of the estate agents are crooks, they will lie about properties and one you've bought do not want to know. A good gestor (Solicitor) is essential.

I think that you need to spend some time working out what part of Andalusia interests you. It's a big place - covers the entire Southern coast and a 100km inland.

As people have mentioned each province has its own character - and often interprets the law in it's own fashion (so what is acceptable paperwork in Malaga may not be accepted in Almeria) - even (especially) for laws put forward by the national government.

As mentioned inland it can get very hot in Summer and pretty cold in Winter. So you really need to think about what you are looking for. Bear in mind that population density falls off within a few kilometres of the coast in most areas so it is easy to get the best of both worlds if that's what you want.

I visit in the winter so brexit was not to much of a problem to me. My place is near Huercal Overa in Almeria. Inland from Vera and a bit cooler in summer ,I am at about 800 ft. Cheap property and the little road I am on is very popular with weekend bikers.It's the Road North to Velez Rubio.

Lots of mountain trails and ramblas too.

We have just moved over

1st July

As had been said get a good solicitor makes things so much easier as the Spanish system is about dotting the i's and crossing the t's

We are renting for a year first to find the exact area we want to live.

A word of caution, check out how much tax you pay buying and selling a house over here, you could save yourself a lot of money renting first to find the area you like.

But it's worth all the hassle, people are so friendly and of course the weather helps
