Having stayed at both La Mirage & Venus Star Resort, we vastly prefer Venus Star.

Have a look at both. People who stay at La Mirage often come to Venus Star for the BBQ days.

We've been to both. Venus is more party, party, party during the day and every time you look round by the pool you'll see someone having sex.

La Mirage is less in your face, more relaxed, and smaller and more sociable (at least if you're staying there).

Both are fantastic, it's just a matter of which style you prefer.

La mirage - Brilliant, as already said super chilled and relaxed, play if you wish, great bungalows to stay in, good prices at the bar and attentive helpful staff.

Early Sep this year next for us and Just booked Mar 23!

Our new go to place for fun in the sun x

We stayed at Playa del Sol last October & thought it was so good we are staying there again this year ,,, adults only hotel / nude sun & play area on roof / right next to Yumbo - defo recommend !

We always stay at Gold great location and just love the relaxed vibe there . As has already been said it’s not a swingers hotel but lots of swingers stay there . Vanilla by day and come the evening we can deep into the swinging as required . Works for us but everyone is different .

We're going be in Gold from the 22nd of Sep, can't wait .

We've heard good things, not a swingers or nude hotel for that matter, but saw good reviews. First time in Gold, we've been in maspalomas a few times, to swing we don't need to be in a swingers resort lots of swinging going on in maspalomas, and you can always go for a day visit to the swingers resorts, and see how it is for your next time.

We considered Playa del sol, but we read reviews concerning the noise coming from Yumbo, was that something that you also noticed? Or was just people that had a bad experience? Do you know how to book room that don't face Yumbo?

You just book a Premier room. they are basicaly the same rooms really ,just have the layouts so your bedroom is at the internal side of the apartment facing the pool. standards are the other way round so you sleep at the Yumbo side of the apartment.

Think they alternate as you walk along landings. with one premier next door to a standard with the opposite floorplan, not much dearer especially if booking direct for a discount but worth it, though if you dont get in till 4am like us its not such a big deal noisewise

Bty 99% of people viewing a maspalomas/gran canaria forum know exactly what pdi stands for. Here's a little tip for you when seeking out new venues do some research
