The only place you don't risk a fine is in the path.

Many say the wardens finish at 2pm but that's your risk to take.

what about the scrub bits towards the lighthouse - we have always found fun there - they are not rolling dunes more flat with trees and bushes- are they still ok or not?

There's plenty of signs and ropes but it's up to individuals of they want to take the risk, there were plenty of single men roaming in February

I'm not sure I'd recommend having fun on one of the paths if you want to avoid a fine!

"what about the scrub bits towards the lighthouse"

There are more signs and more posts the closer you get to the lighthouse. I think they're most worried about areas with the most vegetation.

There were 2 wardens that we could see from the lighthouse end and they just asked people to move on. At 2 pm they were in their truck and gone and didn’t see any after that. Plenty of fun to be had from that point forward

We have been every day to the dunes and gone wherever we wanted, as did many other couples

We haven’t seen the two wardens but it appears they go for their siesta at 14:00 and don’t come back

As for two guys in T-shirts fining people, I’d say that’s highly unlikely they have the authority, besides most naked people don’t carry ID, credit cards or hundreds of euros in cash

apart from using the dunes for a bit of fun now and again we also use them to get some much needed shade and wind block away from the main front beach - we always take away all our rubbish and put it in the nearest bin and feed the lizards and birds a bit of fruit - cant see how sitting on a couple of towels for an hour can do any harm although there are always some who think others are there to clean up after them! and spoil it for the rest.

"why do you say GOOD?"

Why has the barriers/ropes been put up, ask yourself that. just for the heck of it, or another reason.

The dunes of Maspalomas are one mass of moving sand, formed and shaped by the 5 elements of nature but mostly by the wind

The negligible impact caused by human footprints are wiped clean on the next windy day

50 years ago the area and dunes of Playa del Ingles were identical to the dunes of Maspalomas - Unfortunately the entire environment has been irretrievably damaged by human greed, over development and tourism

I’m guessing most of the virtue signallers complaining about people walking the dunes of Maspalomas are the same people staying in over priced hotels and apartments built on the once pristine dunes of Playa del Ingles?

So because someone started destroying the dunes 59 years ago it's ok to finish the job now?

Yes the footprints are covered by the wind but we frequently saw people trampling the shrubs to make room to put their towels down

We're not against people going into the dunes but unfortunately they have to legislate for the lowest common denominator

You frequently saw people trampling the shrubs to put their towels down! …. Really?

So with the plethora of sand available in Maspalomas, you have regularly seen naked people trying to trample the spiky shrubs with their bare feet to put their towels down - You must have spent a considerable time walking the dunes to witness that?

The area with trees behind old kiosk 4 to the left is very private. Lots of couples and local single guys .

You can choose which guy you fancy xx

I was seriously used by 3 young Studs there in February.

No sign of any wardens ... as I was repeatedly fucked for 2 hours .. omg yummy

How dare these damn locals try and protect their vegetation and wild areas. Who do they think they are eh. Its my right to go tramping where I want, when I want...how I want isnt it?
