Vera playa may/June

Hi everyone.

We usually holiday in Gran Canaria and stay at Venus star, but we are looking for a change and think Vera may be the answer, we prefer nude sunbathing beach and pool, but we also like dancing, singing, and good entertainment, we prefer not to drive, so we are looking for accommodations that offer the above on site or surrounding area, your advice would be much appreciated

Costa Blanca Spain...

Vera would tick some of your boxes but not all.

Naturist beach and pool, yes. Naturist urbanisation, yes.

The letdown could be the nightlife. It's much lower key than GC.

There are a few bars and restaurants on and around hotel street and (assuming it has/will re-opened) even a swinger club. But singing/dancing/entertainment may be a bit harder to find. Especially in May which is quite early season.

Probably your best bet would be Cap d'Agde. But even there I would leave it until mid June.

True. Cap doesn't come cheap especially if you go for some of the more upmarket apartments there.

Problem is that there are so few places to go for that kind of holiday.

There are plenty of naturist beaches and plenty of resorts with good nightlife. It's finding the one that has both which is more difficult. Especially if you want to do a bit of swinging as well.

I suppose that is why GC is so popular. It's one of the very few places that ticks all the boxes.

In the winter it isn't a case of best. It's more like finding anything at all.

You can really forget mainland Europe. France Greece and Croatia are just too bloody cold, and Cyprus isn't exactly renowned for nudist beaches. Ditto Turkey.

You could get lucky on mainland Spain but equally you could get the week from hell. Scr*ping ice off the car is quite rare on the Costa Blanca but it isn't unknown, and the Costa del Sol gets more rain than you would think in the winter months. Spring and Autumn are better but can still be hit and miss.

In the winter Vera is a morgue, we drove down once on a very nice day in late November and we saw more feral cats than people, and it can also get very cold there.

The bottom line is that in the winter months it's the Canary islands or long haul. There ain't anywhere else.

We think may/June isn’t really winter.

So hopefully in the coming weeks more options will become available, we’ve had meets in both Benidorm and Majorca, both of which also offer good nightlife

There is a hotel in Crete. Naturist around pool area and lots of bungalows . It’s half board . But nothing around the area and not a swinger area unless it is pre arranged . But class hotel and food

We live here in Vera Playa but only been here just over a year.

May June should be warming up nicely like last year. We have not tried the swingers club. The bar near the naturist hotel gets a few swingers in (broadway).

It is very quiet here in winter but the summer months a lot of Spanish swingers hit the area. They tend to use the forum on a site called onswingers.

A short taxi ride into Mojacar is where you can find the dancing (also a local bus is possible).

we are hoping to be at vera playa in may probably mid may expecting most things to be open as quite a lot stays open all year. If you are happy with english bars there is always so evenings for dancing and broadway which is spanish is quite happy if you get up to dance. Mojacar is only a few miles away and can get busy but we have never been in the evening
