Cash or Card

Blackwood

We are due to fly out on 6th January staying at La Mirage in Gran Canaria. We were just wondering if the resort, shops, bars and clubs out there prefer cash or card payments given these Covid times we live in. Just will cut back on the amount of Euros we take out if card is the new king out there....thanks in advance for your advice G & R xx

Scotland, Liverpool, Manchester, London

When we were there we did both, although the clubs and bars we were in only took cash but thankfully plenty cash machines.

We're taking Euros but our card as back up.

Cash is still king over there.

Fylde Coast.

We use card everywhere apart from Comeback and fun4all which is cash only

We’ve been here over a month and haven’t had to use cash once. Card for everything, from meals to ice creams

But we haven’t been to any clubs, so can’t advise on that.

We arrived with one €20 note in our pockets and we still have it..!

We were there in November and used cash for everything.

Bottom line is everywhere will take cash and most will take card, so it is your choice.
