Costa Blanca Spain...

Last night I went to our local Chinese restaurant and was told that without proof of double jab that I could not enter.

I don't often carry my phone but thankfully it was only a short walk home.

I went back and showed my QR code and everything was fine.

However there were quite a few others that were turned away.

It seems that these are new rules in Valencia region.

Has anyone else in the area (or any other region) come across it yet?

Certainly nobody has asked us for anything in Gran Canaria but it seems that might change on the 10th.

We’ll ask around the bars to see what the feeling is amongst the owners.

Seems rather pointless if it’s just voluntary and those businesses that comply might be losing out.

The OP played fair, but others could easily have just found another restaurant that didn’t ask for proof of jabs.

France are closing their nightclubs for a month.

Think things are beginning to hot up again.

Patricia says it’s to do with a 50 capacity ruling. If it’s a large restaurant that can seat that and more then it’s a rule.

Just reading other news sources, they make no mention of it being voluntary.

Hopefully things will be clearer in the coming days. No problem for us, apart from having to carry phones or certificates around with us.

Right, that would add up from the experience the night before.

Apparently the rules came into force on Saturday but the much smaller place I went to on Sunday never mentioned it.

The place I went to last night is quite big and will easily seat more than 50.
