Can anyone suggest the best way to get from the airport to PDI. Taxi or bus? Anyone have information on both?

On a separate note, do local taxis accept card or is it cash only?

PDI 12-26th Nov 24

Bus 66 every 60 mins

Bus 90 every 20 mins (I think)

All the stops, routes and timetables are on Google maps

Dead easy, we get the normal bus instead of the jet2 transfer to beat tbe crowds to check-in unless we have a rental car

And you can download the "pide taxi" app and book and pay online or by cash in the cab

Any taxi I took in Oct accepted my credit card. No.66 bus €3.40 will drop you at your hotel or close. Worse case get bus to PDI anywhere and then taxi anywhere in PDI for €3-€4.

Prebooked private transfers are cheaper than just grabbing a taxi on the day.

£50-£55 return door to door.

Advantages: Guy with a name board waiting for you in departures.

Disadvantage: You are never sure of what you are going to get. Last trip, on arrival, it was a minibus to ourselves. Departure from the hotel it was a 60+ seater coach to ourselves. TBF it is normally just a car.

"£55 for a taxi omg, my flight only cost me £67 gatwick to LPA return ha ha ,"

OK but we had 3 people in the taxi for that. So £8 per person per trip ...or there abouts. Also it takes around 30 minutes from entering the departure lounge to entering your hotel

last time (the only time)we took a coach transfer it took well over 2 hours

That's why we take the normal bus, 40 minutes €3.40

If it had been just the 2 of us it would have been an option but 3 made no difference, or very little.

Dartford

Bus 66 or 90

Faster than coach transfers, much cheaper than cab.

Check the nearest stop to your accommodation.

Google "Global Bus Gran Canaria"

PS Buses are also really good for trips round the island, south coast or up to Las Palmas de GC. Generally overtake half the cars on the motorway! Only one unbreakable rule, avoid bus route #1 at all costs. Stops at every lamp post, diverts into every village en route. Take the "direct" services #30, #66, #90

#66 is nonstop from PdI to airport. #90 calls in at the Shopping Centre in Vecindario en route both ways. Otherwise identical routes, fares etc.
