Just home from pourto del carmen

We have been going there for the last 15 years . Twice sometime 3 times a year... not the same . Atmosphere very different . Restaurant and bars close early . Very uncomfortable feeling . . Very sad the way things are going .

To be fair we could say that about anywhere due to the pandemic but I know what you mean

Lanzarote

Pretty negative post, the bars & restaurants are forced to close currently at 12, that is the same time as all the other Canary Islands.

The large bars I went past on Sunday where packed to the rafters with people enjoying their holiday as where the restaurants earlier. Each to their own opinion but Lanzarote is trying its best to give people what they want but they can only work within the current restriction.

I totally agree there are so many tourists here now almost like before covid

Bars close at twelve well cant people get enough to drink during the day the island is not all about swilling beer non stop get out and see what’s on your doorstep after all that’s happened let’s hope it stays this way .

Came back a couple of weeks ago before their crazy heatwave and it felt like business as usual. The early closing didn’t bother me one bit. I was there at Xmas too and felt like a ghost town in comparison. I’ll be there again this Xmas.

This is good to hear. I'm not due to go until January so fingers crossed things will be still going. Early closing doesn't bother me in the slightest.
