Anyone know what is happening with Apts Dolores?

They don't seem to be open just now according to most of the booking sites. Are the closed for refurb or just closed?

I would expect not economically viable to open up yet....remember, they have no bar/restaurant and are at the cheaper end of accommodation, so probably rely on high occupancy to even break even.

Perhaps those living out there can confirm...

Went past yesterday, building works underway, we've stayed before the rooms are nice but the facilities are limited no bar etc

The big crane went up today so there will be a lot more construction noise in the coming months for people staying in the surrounding appartments

Went passed the back yesterday. All doors windows and internal walls out. Major reno by the looks of it.

Fingers crossed its still adult only when they reopen.

Bumped for an update...all 3 blocks at Dolores are still lying completely gutted out, no signs of any ongoing work but maybe this is due to the Easter Holidays

It certainly looks as if it won't be finished for this winter season.
