Canterheran is possible one of the best nudist beaches in the area ...20 mins from Nerja ...its in the natural park..The snorkeling is crystal clear xx

I've had a house in Nerja since 97 and have been many times to both Cantarrajan and Almayate. Cantarrajan is beautiful but very busy in July and August. It's stunning in May and June and there's the added bonus of being able to drive down to the beach in May and June.

Peak Season you need to catch a bus, but they run very frequently.

Almayate is like going back in time - miles of sandy beach and I came across the most fantastic beach bar run by a totally cool guy called Juan. He was very much 420 friendly and served the most incredible fish from the barbecue.. Lots of fun to be has as Sarah mentioned behind the beach.

I wholly recommend trying both beaches.

It's called Chiringuito "El Hornillero". His wife loves a glass or 6 of the old tinto too. Brilliant place. He has a finca up in the hills that he took me to - Grows his own Mangoes and lemons and god only knows what else

What tests do u need once ur back? Is it just the 2 day one at the moment?

I came out a cpl of weeks ago … and if or when I go back, if it’s still amber and not amber plus I’ll take the 30 euro one instead of the 99 euro one to get back on the plane … cuz I had to show a negitive cert and then got pinged a few days later to say someone on the plane had tested positive …. What a confusing time .. but hey good luck and hope you’ve enjoyed yr break

Hi smooth x The rules at the moment are that if you fly back with Ryanair you have to have a Covid PCR type test 2 days before your due departure date...Then you have to provide another PCR type test 2 days later once back in England...Even if your double jabbed...If your not double jabbed you have to quarantine for 10days or buy yourself out with another test...I've been checking the uk government website daily and think I'm reading it correctly...I'm sure someone might have a different take on the rules flying with another airline...but that's the score with Ryanair xx

Thanks for the info, but media rumour is that Spain and Greece could go on the amber plus list … good luck, perhaps we might bump in to each other one day, once we all understand the rules lol

I have just booked a stay in Nerja 29th September. Myself and 4 others have been going on a lads long weekend for the last 10 years. The last time I went was 2019,due to lockdown, so I expect some changes this time. Can anyone give an update of bar closures and the general scene? We use the Round Bar,Cochrans and the Irish bars. Pretty much the whole province was covered. I live about 30km from Nerja and my terrace had a 5-10mm layer of dust. One of my gutters collapsed after the dust blocked the drain.

Nice weather now though.

Nerja isn't the place you are looking for if its clubs you want. Probably in and around Malaga would be a better area. Nerja is a lovely place, quite lively of an evening but without a club scene, swinging or nightclubs.
