I notice on the web cams there are still no sunbeds at PDI. Are there any plans to get them back along with the new style kiosks or is there still a dispute about taxes?

June 22nd, 2021: The municipality of San Bartolome de Tirajana does not manage to set up the sun beds and umbrellas on their beaches

The way the municipality of San Bartolome de Tirajana works is a disaster. All the communities on the islands are preparing for the tourists, those in the south are not.

It is not the lease company that previously managed the deckchairs and parasols on the beaches of Maspalomas, Playa del Inglés, El Cochino and Meloneras to blame, but the municipality!

As has now become known, the lease expired last summer and was not extended. The congregation has not been able to publish a new call for tenders for a year; that should happen in the next few weeks.

It is also unlikely that the kiosks on the beach will open this summer.

Bit of a joke then , it’s nice to lay in the sun on a lounger, have a few cool tropicals , a not so nice toasty
