'near that London'

So sad to hear about the closure of Hello Bar in Corralejo. Was never a swingers bar as such. But was reputedly a ‘ swingers meeting place ‘ . LOL . Had many a great night in there and met some fantastic people !

Near You

Tony was a diamond. Old skool and not everyone's cup of tea but a kind honest man. Had many a great night in his bar and met many swingers in there.

Thats a shame but hardly surprising during lockdown...Like previous posts we had many a good night in there with Mike and then Tony and their local regulars..even managed to win a quiz or two !!.

Absolute tragedy loved this bar had many a great night in there first when Mike ran it then again when tony blue took over. The regulars all great lads I regard tony as a friend aswell all these people on here who went there hello bar I was probably in bar at same time and never knew. Looking forward to September when I’m

We would always make a point of going in the Hello bar when both Mike and later On when Tony took over. Jane always enjoyed exploring her exhibitionist side short skirt With no knickers or tops showing lots of cleavage. We enjoyed our sexy chats with Mike. We even just by pure chance met one or two like minded couples in there. The Hello Bar will be sadly missed.

Only went there once, but enjoyed the night, I hope there are not too many bars closed in corralejo, does anyone know which are still open, finnigans, Mcarthys, Rosie Ogrady's ?? Too many to mention them all, but it would be nice if a lot have survived

There weren't many open when we left 4 weeks ago. Cantante is still open with it's fabulous 5 Euro Full English Breakfasts.

Corralejo was like a ghost town, as was Caleta. On balance, El Cotillo has come out of this least damaged.

Yes, pretty well everywhere, but you can take them off on the beach when settled away from others and for swimming.

I do like El Cotillo, always visit at least 5 times in a fortnight's holiday, but stay in corralejo, so was just interested to see what bars had survived really.

So many bars and restaurants are still closed in Corralejo, that you can't be sure who will ever reopen. Some were struggling even when things were 'normal'.

Assuming the state of alarm does end on May 9th and Torres doesn't make life difficult then we're due out for a few days in mid May.

We'll see who has survived, though some places seem to have done well from the EU 'tele-workers' - seem to spend all day surfing and all night partying

This bar was different and yes you could say it was a dive and did have arse holes frequenting it also but the one thing this bar had that no other bar in Corralejo has and we have frequented them all! People actually talk to each other and we have met some lovely people in this bar and this is what always drew us back to it, We felt the demise of the bar was when they got rid of John for the Karaoke and final nail was when Mike left but this bar had something that no other bar had and that was people made good friendships and we understand other people's views but we initially thought the same but one visit or two you don't realise how good a bar it was, and as for prices we got local rates, that was the price structure Mike introduced locals and frequent visitors to the bar got cheaper drinks the only bar that comes close to Hello bar is Blue Rock but we we would just like to say to the nice people we have met in Hello Bar thank you and to Mike also we missed him also.... xx

Well said ….the best bar for actually talking to people in Corralejo . Tony did himself no favours falling out with John and making Mike get rid of him, it was the beginning of the end for good old Hello ! We often wonder what happened to Mike and what he’s doing now ?

Really sad news about the Hello Bar, we have been going in there for 8 years, holidaying in Corralejo twice a year since then up till the pandemic. Have made some great friends there and had some fantastic nights in there. Mike and Tony are both very different but both genuine and honest guys. No matter where we went for a meal and a drink we always ended up there for the strongest measures in Corralejo. Never a dull moment with plenty of laughs, and decent conversation. Hope someone takes the hull by the horns and reopens it

A great bar for what it was for, and that was for people meeting and greeting. Monday quiz night, and karaoke night always good, and for the for the gentleman who said the drinks where expensive, it wasn't if you drank in there and not just bought one drink and departed.

The first time I went there, the patrons invited me to the Monday morning 10k walk up the volcano, great people

A little update for everybody, it looks like the bar is opening back up as The York Bar, do not know if it is opened yet but will find out very shortly when we are over, maybe someone who is over there just now could give an update...
