Returned after almost a years break and exactly the same posts as last year....it'll be ok by late Spring, no Summer, no October!! GC doing great, only small rise in infections, will soon be sorted, definitely...well hopefully.... maybe? Ok, another small rise but definitely only a blip this time, honestly, will be back to normal soon, promise...

Only new addition is the immigrant situation...that will be sorted soon, definitely, well hopefully... maybe?

We have 'optimistically' booked to return to GC in late November but don't feel it's a definite we will get there. When you add the Antivac idiots, to the people that genuinely can't take it and the 5+% that the vaccination won't work for...then while infection rates remain high and vaccination rates low, in holiday destinations, the UK are unlikely to open up travel to those destinations, without test and quarantine on return.

We have hope but no certainty...

Sadly have to agree with everything that you have said, not sure that holidays overseas are going to be on the cards at all this year, and if that’s the case I can’t see the situation changing greatly for the next two or three years.

Great post, we should have been flying back today but obviously cancelled

We have another 3 trips booked this year but will take things as they come,

Unfortunately no matter what the FAB experts report it’s not in their hands

We really feel for our friends over there and hopefully they can hang on a little longer , I’ve no doubt when told tourists can return GC will be one big party

We were due to head out in a fortnights time but it wasn't to be

We have friends that tell us the actual truth about how things are out there....sad... but we hopefully will see things improve over the summer and a return to some level of tourism by late autumn/winter. GC will be a very different place by then

We were there over Xmas and had a good time as usual but it was eerily quiet

Very strange time

At last a sensible thread. How long before it is invaded by the ‘usual suspects’ and those with vested interests.

Great Post...so reminds me of a famous quote..

Now this is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning
