"We are looking at going to Gran Canaria hopefully in September does anyone know what the situation is with the immigrants have they been but in the hotels or still sleeping on the streets as shone on the news Don't believe everything you see on the news." Who are they to believe then......someone who desperately needs tourists to return to try to make a living and will downplay any problems the migrants cause or journalists who want to create a story and uses film or photographs to back up the story? Let’s not dismiss the fact the migrants ARE a problem that could potentially have a serious effect on tourism unless the Spanish government get to grips with both stopping them landing and relocating/deporting them when they do. My understanding is that the flow of migrants has slowed but the authorities put this down to tidal flows and weather patterns but fear another influx when calmer seas return.

"There is now camps open in the north of Tenerife. They expect all to be moved by mid March. Also yes there are some of them that are bad. But there is many who are lovely. In all truth, we have had a good few immigrants come to the bar everyday popped in for a few drinks. Follow our COVID rules to the letter. We also have lots of Spanish who come in, very rude, can’t follow our rules. Think they can do what they like. So the immigrants are just like every walk of life. Some good some bad. Don’t believe everything you read. " Must certainly don’t believe everything you read on here It’s getting like the bbc news waffle and not the ones we eat here

"We were last there in September and didn't have any issues. Spoken to friends in the south of the island last week and again, they haven't had any issues. I would be tempted to listen to the people who live on the Island and have first hand experience, we all know the media never let the truth get in the way of a good story. " 100% correct , we were out in Oct and although we did see groups of young immigrant men hanging around , they caused no problems that we could see

But at least we can claw back some income to the island so when you all CAN come over there are actually places to go.
