Livingcare pcr tests update

North west

Not sure if there’s still a link on jet2 site to the company livingcare for PCR tests, if there is, it should be taken down, we payed for tests with them because we figured it was safer going with jet2’s recommendation.

A word of warning, do not use them.

It’s seems they’ve bitten off more than they can chew , multiple people not received results back in time and consequently lost their holidays.

We are due to fly in 24hours so I guess there’s still hope for us, but not holding our breath.

Don't think we're going to bother to try get out there early January. It's going to be far too stressful with these tests etc.

Don't want to lose yet another holiday

They are over run and cannot cope. We thought it would be good as Jet2 was promoting them and they are a national company. But they let us down badly, little help via email and hopefully we're getting a refund. Thankfully still got away and in corralejo now but the stress wasnt helpful.

Did Jet2 check your PCR test before boarding your flight?

We fly to Spain in January...the problem with the test is the time frame you need the results..we live in Italy and when we arrived back here we had to have a test, we got our results in 8.5 days later...my belief is we should be tested at the point of arrival...these countries need our support and money so please help us get there....

I've got NHS test with negative result and a QR code from Spain. Flying tomorrow hope this will be enough for me. Not got a cert with passport so a bit of a gamble.

I think you will find you will need more than that. Check out this website, which a poster very kindly put on here. Loads of information

Take note of the fine that will be imposed, if you arrive without the correct paperwork.

Possibly not unless you can get a test at a private clinic near you.

“You can also arrive and have an antigen test with 72 hours of arrival provided you isolate until your results arrive”

If this is correct you may be okay to travel tomorrow and have a test when you arrive, let us know how you get on

This is off our hotel in PDI..

Good morning, here are places where you can take the antigen test but

you need the test to be able to fly. If you do it in Playa del Inglés we

will inform you of where you can do it, you can enter the room but you

should not leave it other than to take the test ... greetings from

Gonzalo.

We're hoping to fly on 9th January from Manchester.

We heard the good news about the antigen tests and thought we could get the test done at the airport before flying.

However yet another hurdle chucked at us because it's an early morning flight and testing facilities don't open till 9AM.

Ended up getting an antigen test in Liverpool and needed it. The hotel was very strict. Easy jet and the airport they just checked your qr code - which you can get by claiming you've had a test. Hotel wanted a copy of the test.
