It also kind of depends on what you’re looking for? San Fernando is very lively and close to the night life. But if you want more away out the road you may want to Vecindario or Telde 10 mins and 20 mins drive from PDI

Banff

Had our own place in El Cotillo , Fuerteventura for 8 years now and love it. Beautiful nude beach on the doorstep, top surfing if you want it. We spend every winter here now.

Not for clubbers and posers, but for peace, quiet and total relaxation, difficult to beat.

the wetlands

We discussed it and wouldn't buy a holiday home there, it's much more expensive than renting and we don't want to get back into being landlords.

We much prefer a nice hotel but that's where we are not for everyone.

Therein lies the difference between a second home and a holiday home. Since we bought our place in 2012 it has increased in value by roughly 150 Euros a week, every week.

Sort of to do with this topic, but does anybody who lives / long term rents have to take daily medication, and if so, how do you get it from the UK ?

Most surgeries will give you a three month supply if you say you're on holiday. You can get a prescription from a doctor here although you'll have tp pay a small amount; a lot of meds can be bought online.
