San Eugenio, Costa Adeje, Tenerife

"What were the new laws last night?"

Bars and restaurants with terrace can open but need to close at 01

All nightclubs/discos again closed since last week Friday inside and outside!!!!

Face masks mandatory in all public places inside and outside only not whilst sitting eating & drinking

No smoking nowhere if you can not contain 2 meters distance

It’s only bars that have the cafeteria license that can open so I’m informed! Police were everywhere again last night. Big patrols storming into gaffers, Leo’s and lava

So all bars must close at 10pm now?

Can’t see FCO lifting guidance not to travel by October but if they do will be no fun with bars shut at 10pm

Are hotel bars allowed to open later?

Also one last thing, I see you have to wear masks in the street now, does this apply if you are out for a run or are you allowed not to wear one while running?

The poster above said what bars can open , to close at 1am. I would think you would have to wear a mask whilst running, yes.

1am I said. I think hotel bars and services are restricted to so many hours a day as opposed to closing time. So imagine they’d be before 1am. As for running, I’m 90% sure you don’t have to wear a mask to run as you don’t have to wear in the gym when you’re on a machine only to walk Machine to machine and everywhere else when not working out. I think this is a temporary thing for initially 21 days. A real kick in the teeth for us really after such a strict lockdown depending on savings with no income and now this.

I advise you to follow “the Canarian Weekly” on Facebook if you have an account. Live updates and “fairly” accurate

Thanks very much for the update.

Was over last week of July and felt much safer there than in the uk.

Hope canaries can get it under control so our Govt will exempt them from quarantine and we and thousands of other brits can can come back over in October. Been coming to The island for 30 years and it was so sad to see it as quiet as it was in July.

Don’t know what you do for a living but hope you are able to work again soon.

Thanks again for the update

tenerife,Canary Islands

the bars that are open, are allowed to stay open till 1am,but you cant go in a bar after 12,yes its very quiet here at the mo and you have to wear a mask, apart from drinking and eating,if you smoke, there is not a total ban on smoking as some people state, who don't live here, you have to be outside and 2 metres apart from the next table, obviously some English bars that are not legal are panicking!!!!
