As per your similar post. We are advised by the Foreign office not to travel to Spain, for non essential reasons. Most people will not travel, as they won't be covered by insurance and they will have to quarantine for 14 days on their return

Well I hope they have a nice time But whilst our foreign office are advising against travel, no insurance company will cover them. They will get basic medical cover on an EHIC card. I hope they don't need medical treatment, as, I know it can be very expensive. Have a lovely day

Sure, everyone understands that measure for northeast Spain, but not for the whole country. Terrible for the businesses that are struggling here now

it is terrible, but it's pretty much worldwide, some worse than others.

Hello Spain is in eu as is uk so of course your card will protect you

As a resident here I know the medical system here is far superior than the UK

Perhaps if the UK was in lockdown like Spain the situation would not be so bad

I understand all of that, thank you well, who really knows. As I said on the Gran Canaria thread, I'm surprised Spain wants the Brits entering their country if our infection rate is so bad, does no one care about the virus being spread by tourists?

Why are you having a dig at me, instead of saying something useful. The OP and I are having a perfectly civil conversation

We in Scotland aren’t having a heatwave. Plus UK based holiday parks and tourist towns are taking advantage of limited travelling abroad by increasing prices

I don't own a holiday park and we have cancelled two holidays due to Covid. The reason being, I am a carer for my very frail 90year old Dad and trying to help my disabled brother, who is recently widowed, his wife having had terminal cancer...I'm shattered and would love a holiday, but I can't travel and potentially bring infection into my family. Happy now?

You missed my point. You said we are having a heatwave. The UK isn’t in a heatwave. I can afford to have a family holiday abroad but after checking UK prices it’s clear that they are highly inflated.

Some can't afford it, those that have lost their jobs etc. Prices shouldn't be inflated.

You may check the weather forecast, 28 degrees inverness tomorrow.

If the prices are too high don't go..

Ryanair will fly you to Spain

Have a nice trip and enjoy the quarantine when you get back
