Hope you are all keeping safe and well. As we enter the final half of 2020 what do people think about life abroad for swinging. Personally we think it's all but ended. New lockdown and outbreaks. How can anyone book with piece of mind?? Let us know your feelings

Personally, I think the risks are far too high, so wouldn't go. Things change so quickly. But I don't blame people for wanting to get away, everyone deserves a holiday

what risks? we are the safest place on the planet ?

you can only beat that ,if you stay in your home the rest of the year .

every where we gonna have higher numbers every time after a lock down

people just need to use their common sense otherwise this is never gonna end .

look at sweden ....no lockdown and good numbers ....

happy 2022

I don't think you're the safest place on the planet, but better than us, at the moment. The risks are the travelling. 2 busy airports, in close contact, sitting on a plane for 4hours each way. I don't intend to sit in my home all year and have plenty of common sense, thank you. There are hundreds of people coming back to quarantine, who could potentially lose work or jobs. This can happen anywhere now, as other countries are being looked at also ....

I don't know how many people under 50 or children are dead. Mainland Spain obviously have a problem, how many people from the main land holiday in the Canaries. You've been very good, from the start, at controlling the virus and I admire you all for that, I just hope other countries don't bring the virus to your island

The safest and most sensible option for anyone in PDI is to use the the FAB who is nearby app. Then meet in a bar, preferably outdoor or open as opposed to one of the underground or tucked away swinger bars. Especially a certain bar that is trying to convince people it is the safest place on the planet. Best to meet in a bar that is realistic and knows the risks therefore follows Covid safe guidelines.

I appreciate businesses all over the world are struggling, I know, I have children in that position so I empathise with the businesses in GC, but we have to stop this transmission. "Personally, I think the risks are far too high, so wouldn't go.

This can happen anywhere now, as other countries are being looked at also ....

the safest place is at home,

but stay inside until they find a vaccine ..

we have a few here on the island, name a safer place .

it is still a flu ...... an intelligent ..

how many people under 50 are dead? and how many children are dead?

the only reason they have set the no fligh is so that everyone goes on holiday in their

own country.

but we let everyone have their opinion, but based on facts

happy 2022

forgot to say i write this on my own title ... tonny

We should have been drinking beer with you tomorrow

if you flight was with raynair ...they still bringing people lol"

Jet2, they cancelled

I'd rather swim than fly Ryanair lol

"we have 23 active cases on this island.

fact "

And this illustrates the flaws in a blanket quarantine order for Spain.

Sadly most people can't justify two extra weeks off work for the sake of a holiday.

Was supposed to be going to Barcelona at begining of September and in two minds about it, was chatting with my friend who I'm going with and we said we still had a few weeks to make a final decision. Two hours later the decision had been made for us, luckily Easyjet had changed our 7am flight to 3pm and gave us the option of changing the flight with no fee if we didn't like the change.

I've just changed the flights from 2020 to 2021 and the cost difference was £34 each. Hope things are sorted by next September.

It's not the cases in GC it's the risk of travelling through airports baggage control and aircraft.

I go in supermarkets for 15 minutes, that's a little different from being in airports, or sitting in close proximity to others, for 4 hours, but we all have our own idea of risk

We certainly do.

Airports more or less empty , everyone distanced on half empty planes and all wearing masks

Yep. Supermarkets much safer

,

We all have different experiences, in these places, as long as we follow the guidelines, we can ask no more of each other

The President of the Canary Islands, Ángel Víctor Torres, has shown his confidence that after the intense efforts made by the Spanish Government, the United Kingdom agrees in a few days, including next week, to withdraw its quarantine for passengers from the Canary Islands.

The news just coming in

I hope so, we just want a holiday. We live in Cornwall and it feels unsafe with some visitors commenting to shop keepers that they've come here to get away from Covid_19. The tourist areas and beaches are packed, the majority not adhering to social distancing guidelines.

We've seen footage of airports being quiet, people wearing masks and if people cannot quarantine when they get home we're banking on flights being quiet so everyone is spaced out and wearing masks.

We don't mind the island being quiet, its just guaranteed weather in our favourite destination we want. This time we have airbnb to make it safer. Let's hope Boris lifts the restrictions in time for September.

Sorry you're experiencing that, they are idiots, it's the same in most coastal resorts... Hope you're ok for September

The way things are going in England, don't be surprised if the Islands put a block on travel from the UK instead.

In saying that, maybe not as the £ is of major importance to the tourism industry.

It just seems bonkers that millions in the north of England are in lockdown again but the Canaries would let them in for holidays.

Canaries are very safe at the moment, but for how long ?

We can live without swinging , we can live without a holiday abroad . We focus on what you have got not what we haven’t . Let’s be honest there will be plenty of people who will still be swinging spreading the virus despite the risks . Leave the virus in GC or bring it back . Some can’t be trusted that’s why the government have to act.

Should be interesting now that tha main Spanish holiday season has started. By that I mean the Spanish are now on holiday.

It will now be interesting to see who spreads what and where given the Spanish Government have imposed few travel restrictions on their own people

personally I NEED a holiday, and am off to GC in december, and will be up for anything... by then, if its still a problem, then I will be so fed up, I will need to explode for my own sanity. Already suffering mentally, and just need a break. If I get quarantined, or locked down, or stranded, I will be fine... better than now, anyway
