Other airlines and hotels are available. There is a noticeable rise in the number of holiday makers around now.

Totally agree... I can’t understand why TUI canceled flights and hotels reservations. Step by step people are enjoying the island on their holidays

If that's the case my nose and mouth with be my only what's parts... I'm sure beaches will be mask free, especially in the circles

The only mask on the beach is at Torino's in Cotillo, used to be a reasonably priced beach haunt until the 'highwayman' struck

"We are out on the 9th boll.......to covid.....its time to move on and get back to normal xxx"

I live out here .. we have had super low numbers of infection in comparison to the whole of Europe but get lumped in with Spanish statistics..

As of today there was 70 cases all at home isolated (50% of them in Puerto del Rosario so no where near tourist) 0 cases in ICU and ZERO deaths since the start..The health measures put in place are a slight pain compared to normal holiday but hey could be worse ...

So as you say bollox to it and come out here get naked and enjoy the sun .. life to short ..

Have been going to the canaries twice..sometimes if I'm lucky three times a year for the last 10 years ...

Haven't gone or no intention of going for a long time . Although we miss it terrible I think it's the right thing to do . After all ..we are not going to die for the want of some holiday fun and sun ..

It is very sad situation for the islands, hope to see all of you soon back to your/our paradise. All beach empty, most of hotel closed or empty, no tourist walking arround.

We miss all of you.

"Canaries NOT currently exempt from quarantine rules."

I can quarantine at home after my trip If that is the case.

Hopefully I will not have to by December but not confident.

Just hoping it is not too quiet out there in December ie bars and restaurants still open

Just got back yesterday.

Easy jet still flying, silly prices for last min bookings,(eg Gat - Fue £41, Fue - Gat, £13.).

However, confirm hotel first, Germans not travelling, many hotels closing AGAIN.

Dont risk it if your travelling with kids.

However dear adults, even if no hotels, you can rent a camper,(a small RV), and tramp to a different beach every day.

if UK lockdown is still in place for your anticipated return date, just stay another week. It will have changed again.

Yeah, after the lockdown lots of locals, even from other islands, are coming to Cotillo with their campers and vans... mostly from late Friday to Sunday. It’s pretty annoying but only happens on the weekends.
