Venus star open

Does anyone know if Venus is/when open and if there’s any restrictions in place due to the virus.

They had said they were opening on July 4th but seems to be some confusion with the restrictions and phases, although we have not heard if the 4th has been cancelled

We are also wondering the same thing. They sent an email out to those with bookings on Friday stating that:

"From the Venus Star Resort, we regret the many inconveniences that the COVID19 crisis is causing. We cannot open on the 4th of July as planned. We are giving you two options to cancel or change your reservation."

We have since sent emails, whatsapp, tried calling and even messaged through booking .com ... but have heard nothing back from them as to what it actually means and if there is a new opening date.

We were booked for a week 18th-25th July. And as it stands our flights have not been cancelled. So need to know from them asap what is happening, so can make alternative accommodation arrangements if they are not opening at all in July.

So if anyone hears anything pls let us know

we have spoken to a couple on here who know the owners and they have said they will not be opening for july or august at all now

so we have requested a cancellation via booking.com and hopefully the owners do the honourable thing and provide refunds... given it is them who have cancelled on people and not those who were wanting to attend! we shall see

Pretty sure you will be ok with Venus and refunds etc.

We had to cancel at beginning of April and manuela sorted the refund promt

Hi, had received email with cancellation from venus 3 days ago same as our Italian friends who booked from 8 till 15th july. I had contact with venus 2 days ago and they said that there staff stay in ERTE for 2 more months and they are not opening in July/August.

We have cancelled our boot ticket also as I know most restaurants & bars we like to visit not opening before September.

We wait a bit longer.....

Same here in Tenerife, lots of hotels, restaurants & bars still not open.

Does this ERTE extension mean the likes of Comeback bar, fun4all, patricias etc that were apparently all opening up, will now be shutting up shop aswell then?

Venus star will give your refund, they are always correct!!!

For shore they will contact you, it's a hard & hectic time for everyone....give them the benefits of the doubt.

Everyone is trying to survive this in the best way they can....

I think for October you will be fine. Most businesses are aiming for the winter season....summer season will never be good anymore.

Venus will survive and re-opening soon. Not opening now is a good business decision for them & employees

When businesses closed in March they could decide to put their employees in ERTE so the government pay for all salaries & Social Security. This is now extended till end of September for those businesses who can not or will not open yet because they're depending on tourists.

It's everyone's choice to stay in. Some businesses are open and leave a few employees in ERTE, because they can not pay all costs.

It's a personal decision.

I think we’ll book into another hotel for August, probably gold, stayed there a few times, and we’ll book Venus in October

That more or less confirms what had been relayed to us a week ago in so far as they would be closed for July and August.

Had something to do with ERTE covering staff until then.

I guess that may be similar to our Furlough ?
