Glasgow

I'm planning on booking flights from Glasgow to Alicante at the start of July. What do people think the chances are of the flight actually going ahead?

France, Not in

The flight should go but your biggest uncertainty is the tit for tat 14 day quarantine. On 15th June the EU countries will be making an announcement about the arrangements for the open borders and quarantine. I'd recommend waiting to see what is said on 15th before booking a flight and avoid the hassle of trying to get refunds.

Romford/Marbella

You may also have to wear face mask for entire journey including time spent in the airport which may not appeal to some. I would guess passport control maybe only time you can remove it.

Well it's still essential travel only at the moment, so I too would hold fire, until things become more clear and we may still have the 14 day quarantine, when you get back.

Director of the Health Emergency Alerts and Emergency Coordination Center, Fernando Simón, has appeared in press conference. Fernando Simon has explained that the lethality of the pandemic will go down. Health spokesperson has carried out an analysis of the evolution of COVID-19. Simon has indicated that this indicator has moderated. " Right now lethality in Spain is 11 or 12 % and it's going to continue to go down. Now we are detecting many more mild cases and now lethality will go down ", he added

From the Spanish Government

Do you not think it’s good no matter where you live? It means this virus is getting weaker. Same and the USA and Italy have been saying.

As Covid-19 is such an unknown it will be very interesting to see what happens in September after all of the different nationalities have been mixing during the summer holidays. Apart are we going to see some strange mutations (and I'm not referring to all the births in late spring following the holiday romances!!).

Alicante Spain

Look at ww.gov.uk

quarantine as of today but many exception. If you can justify being an exception to the rules you can go for a short trip.

Good luck

We're due to fly on the 27th so it's not looking too good for our trip.

As another poster has said, there are some exceptions, mainly to do with people's occupations.
