all planes are filled with thousands of germs without the present situation. none of us know what it will be like in 4.5 months, and if lockdown is lifted and deemed safe to travel yes will travel even if it's just to see my mother who lives in spain. nut I do thank you for your concerns

This topic will be debated on two sides for some considerable time.

There are those that are happy to put themselves in a situation where they can easily contract the virus, such as an airplane, bar or club.

And then there are those people who will continue to practise social distancing in an effort to avoid passing it on to others.

This is a way life for all of us now.

The virus can pass through several people who happliy recover before it hits the vulnerable person and kills them.

It's simply a matter of your conscious.

And that's the bottom line.

I'm hoping to be over there in September, and if they lift the lockdown, then I will get over there ASAP.

We should have been hopping on plane right now in Almeria, to head home after a relaxing 5 days soaking up the sun in Vera

Missed our April trip, not sure when we will go out there as will be a worry about the flight so even if the airline doesn’t cancel the next ones we probably will.

I agree with you wholeheartedly. I live here full time and luckily at least I am getting to enjoy the sun if nothing else.

If I can get out there in July, I will be straight on that plane. But, I don't think it'll happen given the high number of cases the UK are still reporting. Failing that, I've still got my flight booked for late August for a looooooong visit - yay!

hi there

we had fun looking, everyone keen to show us property. We were a bit specific in that we wanted to be on the naturist area with access to an indoor heated pool as we go there off season. We finally bought a slightly smaller apartment than we wanted but with fab view over the lagoon and a very nice terrace.

Here now very quiet just expats and some Spanish holiday makers , no pools open and you have to wear a mask in public, you can be fined for not wearing a mask

So the flight and immigration was not a problem having used the Spanish Health app to get the QR code.

Hotel Vera Playa is fairly close to normal except there are fewer guests, no evening meals in the restaurant and extra hygiene.

The rules on masks seem to be that you wear a mask anytime when you are not swimming, sunbathing, eating, drinking or in your own room

I'm glad that I took the decision not to cancel my holiday.
