Houseparty app

Is anyone using the Houseparty app? I've been chatting with friends & family on it for the last week and thought singles & couple could reach out to potential matches via this app whilst we're all in self-isolation. #staysafe y'all

The other suggested app is zoom, which is a video conferencing app

Never used it been seen good reviews

So as long as secure your apps correctly and use passwords, lock them down. Your fine.

Both apps had security “scares” but be sensible and they are fine

You'd come across the same people i bet. Already found that with 2 other apps I was on briefly. Quite fancied a change of scenery, but that wasn't happening

I had a wee house party on sat night with some of my family. Considering we’re scattered all over it was great getting together and seeing each other like we did.

Although I must say the quality and streaming was pretty crap.

Nah, Houseparty's either an app on your phone or there's a Chrome extension that lets you use your web browser.

Work bought us all Zoom accounts, it's pretty straight-laced video conferencing but I think the free accounts restrict a call to 40 minutes.

We tried Houseparty with the family at the weekend. It's easy to sign up to and use, and there are games and such which make it a bit more fun.

That's not true, just one of those internet things where it sounds plausible and bad so it gets spread. A bit like the disclaimer a lot of people have at the bottom of their profiles.
