I have been on here on n off for around 8yrs and found 8yrs ago it was easier to meet new people but now i am 8yrs older it seems more people are looking for the younger persons be that for social or play meets so do others think there is a bit off Ageism on Fab or is it just times are changing

I think everyone's experience here is individual, I know that's not much help sorry

Or maybe over the space of eight years you've changed your pictures and profile, and it now isn't as attractive as it was eight years ago. I'm sure there were people that you wouldn't have spoken to back in your hay-day. Sadly everyone has their own individual taste

I think the scene will have had an influx of younger members over the years as each generation has produced a more relaxed attitude to areas across life previously thought of as taboo. With that, people will be more willing to play with those if their own ages as they will have more in-common. I’d think it would be more a case of that then anything to do with yourself.

(We are new here so could be wrong, just basing this view on evidence of studies within society)

Judging by the number of posts from younger guys complaining they can't get meets I don't think it's anything to do with age

I think it's an individual thing.

Young females wont want to go with alot older guys.

Older females might want to go with someone not in their age group.

Swings and roundabouts.

I always say...if someone fancies you enough they will meet you no matter what.

No point trying to figure it out.

I know after more than 12 yrs on I know my preferences have changed.

Age is certainly a big thing here. Being quite young, it does go against me quite often. Sucks for me, but I respect people’s choice. I definitely feel older males do better than younger here.

Been around here for 10/12 years, in several guises, and I would say that is was easier at the beginning.

Have had the usual one offs at the beginning, then been fortunate to have had a couple of relationships courtesy of here, so can't really complain.

Most folks are hightest. If you’re not over 6ft then it’s a no go. It’s all about the connection though. You can be Pamela Anderson from 96 but if you have no personality then what’s the point

I get a lot of hassle from you guys who won't accept, I just want to meet people in my age group. I am a little cheesed off with remarks like "age is just a number" if age was just a number why bother having an age? I like my age and being with people in my decade its a preference its not agist..

I really don't think they are. Younger people are usually more attractive , as you grow older you need to market yourself to get people interested. But yeah, as more people are entering the scene younger, good chance they won't want to meet older people

I am a bit heightest tbf

Not 6ft but I’m 5’7 and I like heels and just find taller men more attractive.

I also like older men too, always have x

I found a difference when I turned 50. Messages suddenly dropped in number. I probably meet more new people by going to socials and the pub quiz than I do from messages on here. When we’re not in lockdown obviously.

I get a fair few messages from younger guys and a lot of abuse when I say they are below my age range.

I want to meet people my age couple years rather side is fine but I really don't want to meet a 23 year old or a 63 year old. We all have preferences there is no right or wrong.

10years either side of my age but alot has to do with maturity and how old they look, they have to look as though at most it's only about 5years diff and the maturity on the upper side of the age gap tbh

Brand new to all this and would class my self as kind of young at 29 and sadly I've not had much luck...

Mainly looking for older women too

I'm primarily putting that down to being new on the scene and only just starting reach out and take part on the forums etc...

My preference is always for slightly older men. No boys under 30. Husband is 13 yrs older than I. When it comes to women I think my age range is much more flexible. For me it is about emotional maturity and confidence.

Don't suppose you would be open for a chat with someone only just under 30

You are stunning!

I admit my age range is small, but that is because I have already taken into account that most men have changed their actual age by at least 5 years!

If you look like you've had a bad paper round, chances are you have lied, so I want no interaction with a liar from the outset!
