But on a dating site, I spent ages chatting to a girl, we spoke on the phone for hours and then after weeks of arranging thins, we finally met up.

Worst experience ever on here would be back at the beginning

I was chatting to a lady for some time when I was invited over to her house.

Drove for a good three quarters of an hour looking for this place. When I arrived she had clearly been drinking and was pretty upset about the fact she had caught her hubby cheating with a work colleague and her joining the site was payback.

Sat listening to her for about half an hour when this dude and 3 of his mates arrived and started shouting abuse and slapping her about.

Got up to leave when my exit was blocked and this guy pulled out a Japanese samurai sword and tried to take my head off.

Worst bit of all was I was charged with 3 counts of serious assault for trying to escape. Luckily police and PF saw sense.

Put me off the site for a while, however, a lady on here met for lunch and restored my faith

I do remember when I first joined chatting to a guy, not my horror story but his, he was basically held hostage by a cpl and assaulted and escaped the house naked and was picked up. On the road, big police investigation about it and was in the papers, they had used some sort of bear spray on him.

So when I started meeting folk I made sure there was always at least one person who. Always knew my whereabouts and another reason I started going to clubs and socials on my own as it was a safe place to meet new folk

We have a guide book on home visits and what to do should you feel intimidated or threatened or just uncomfortable about either the house or the people there.

There’s a lad I chat to on here. Never met as he’s too young for me. A couple of months ago, after chatting to a woman for a length of time he met her at a hotel. Few drinks later, 2 guys walked in, Stanley knife, threatened him, took his watch and money he had. He had also tried to defend himself. He sent a picture of his hand... it was awful!

Another male friend met a female late at night, he was working driving from a to b. Met her at a location she chose, he got in her car to chat. He was dragged out the car by a male, baseball bat and took a beating. Didn’t take anything. They simply ‘both’ got in her car and drove off. He never went to the police. He said he believed the nature surrounding the meet would be look upon as his own fault for not being more aware of the potential towards this happening.

I also know of a woman who was stalked to a dangerous level. To the point he gained access to her house. The police didn’t take it seriously and had commented that she was on a ‘sex’ site. wtf, poor woman was terrified. He would phone her work, knowing when she wasn’t on shift, leave messages. He knew her every move. No idea how that panned out as she, after deleting profile after profile eventually came off the site as she felt so paranoid he would figure her profile, even when she had nothing on.

So yes as someone commented... always know who your meeting. Always a social meet daytime... it’s shocking the amount of assaults against men and women that happen and the feeling of stigma because we’re swingers

let me make it clear that I've zero shame about my sex life and have always been open about it to all. My issue was with the fact that nothing would have been done, especially as there were zero personal details to go on/folk lie etc. I've worked with R**e Crisis and numerous alt feminist organisations and know the score....It's a common reaction.

You are 100% correct. Bareback culture is a bit terrifying - especially as a bi guy. It was a long long time ago. I was a fresh faced 26 year old and it was my first proper meet of fab.

Ok, I'm still new to Fab (less than a month) but many tales on this thread are absolutely terrifying!!!

I've already had one kinda bad experience. Less than a week after I joined, I was messaged by a couple's profile (the gent). No pictures at all, but 2 published verifications (and many others verifications). He said the woman wanted a rough pounding from a black cock, or several. I tried to get more details of exactly what he/they wanted from Me, but never got any clear replies. The convo was always sparse on his side.

Then he quickly arranged a late night meet the next day and gave me just an hour's notice. I drove 30 mins to an isolated mansion in the countryside (what a risk!).
