The PS5 and the new Xbox will both be out later this year, and should be backwards compatible with current-gen games. Might be worth holding off for a while.

True but that also drives dowb the cost of ps4 out there just now and im not a big ebough gamer (yet) to warrent a ps5

I have both xbox and ps4 is still my preferred choice, unless you wanna be a proper gamer and get a gaming pc

Saw the price of those gaming pc's yesterday and wow i can't justify that (yet lol)

I didn't even spend that much when i got a new laptop and a new bicycle lol

I did get age of empires definitive edition on the laptop though lol

You can just buy a semi decent base one and add and upgrade as you go that's what my sons do, I used to build and program pcs and have shown the kids how to do it and what to look for with upgrades my younger boys upgrades at his birthday were around 500 his pc now worth around 2k he's still not even sold his last lot of upgrades so pote tially has enough parts to build another pc

Could be an interesting future project

I did build my own towers before, then i won a laptop and made that leap and havent had a tower/ desktop since

Never say never on returning to that though
