Sure it's been asked before but why not again.

What's the deal with won't meet smokers?

Is this a firm no, or if they weren't to smoke before or during the meet would that be OK.

It doesn't bother me if someone's a smoker but the smell does linger and seeps into your clothes, so even if they haven't had a puff for up to an hour before you meet the stink is still there and some just find it repulsive.

Because people don't like the smell of it on people you can't mask the smell

I'm a smoker but can still smell it on myself and on others I would never expect to meet so wine who doesn't meet smokers to meet me

Also, people ducking away for a smoke is annoying. Whether at a social or in a hotel room.

I stopped smoking 2 years ago and its pretty amazing as I have now got my proper sense of smell and taste back.

When I first stopped I had to be around smokers to ease my craving but soon weaned myself away from it.

Now the smell is disgusting and I'm surprised that my hubby put up with it for so long.

I can fully appreciate why people won't meet smokers.

I hate the smell of smoke.

But happy to meet smokers as long as they brush their teeth, mouthwash, and use mints or gum.

Don’t want to be kissing and taste the smoke

Firm no from me. Won’t meet smokers. The stale smell lingers and personally I find it very off putting.

I’ve walked away from guys who say they don’t smoke but I can clearly smell it when we meet up.

Personal preference no thank you.

I don’t mind the “won’t meet smokers” but what does bug me is those who say that then message me when it says in my profile that I do.

When questioned, 99% of them say they don’t mind and I’ve actually met about half a dozen who despite having this in their profile, smoked!!

I don’t smoke, never have and dislike people smoking around me... but there’s something about kissing someone who’s recently smoking that I strangely enjoy. I honestly can’t put my finger on what it is, but I find it intensely erotic.

It's just a preference people have. I used to smoke a lot but now vape. Was unsure how to class myself. Smoker or non smoker ? Since the switch though can smell people who have been smoking and it's not a great aroma . Totally understand why especially a non smoker wouldn't meet with a smoker .

outside your bedroom window ;-)

I don't smoke, however does not really bother me unless the other person is

A. Reeking of fags.

B. Smoking in your face.

C. Wanting to light up whilst the fun/entertaiment/comeday act is on.

"All comments seem to refer to smoking or not smoking, but what about vaping? "

Smokers and ex smokers / vapers will look at it as non smoker. Non smokers see it as smoker.

That's the impression i got from the previous posts anyway x

I am an ex smoker who now vapes. I stopped smoking 15yrs ago and started vaping 4yrs ago when i split with my partner. If it was not for vaping i would start smoking again which would not be good and which i could not afford. People are welcome to avoid me if they want but i will continue to live my life the way i want.
